Hope that I am neither too late nor that there are too many...

Name: Marox

Species: Makuta

P/W 1: Kanohi Irax, Great Mask of Anger (When activated, endows user with supernatural strength, agility, and durability, if only for two minutes or less (depending upon exertion).)

P/W 2: Skrall-Patterned Double-Edged Axe/Blaster Thingy Weapon (Shadow Blade: Big, sharp, heavy, and capable of firing bolts and slahes of elemental Shadow energy.)

P/W 3: Skrall Buzzsaw Shield (Elemental Shadow energy empowered roundshield capable of cutting, blocking, and bashing.)

Appearance: Much like a Skrall, about three meters in height, in black armor with magmatic accents, wearing a jet cape that's just a little too short (see here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1v__TpoqtOmV13-UWPsnodI9wpFPolWc9CMx9EX6jWe4/edit?usp=sharing).

Bio: Prototype for the Makuta species, fundementally different from all other Makuta (though he has essentially the same abilities)(see link above).

P/O: Erratic yet constant, chivalrous yet nefarious, pure yet corrupt, ingenious yet insane, rock-solid yet unstable, creative yet mimicrous, amiable yet introverted, etc.; imaginative; good to have on one's side in any scale of conflict. Oh, and a decidedly masculine male.

Hopefully not too much...

Not approved - the mask alone has several different powers, regardless of the nerf, and your weapon would take up at least two slots on its own.

Logic would dictate that something called the "Mask of Anger" would make people angry when it's used on them.

Just sayin'.

True, but extreme cases of anger tend to increase the amount of adrenaline in the subject's body, which in turn could replicate some of these effects (a mother lifting a car off of her child, for example (speed + strength combo), although I'd find it more believable if increased durability was swapped out for increased pain resistance). The way I'm currently invisioning it makes it seem more like a Calix that puts the user in a constant state of rage in order to use those abilities, effectively making it a Mask of the Berserker instead.

Maybe the Mask of Berserking could require the user to fulfill some sort of obeisance in-between uses, or else die after a certain amount of time

Such as sleeping, arranging things perfectly and then ruining them, or maybe letting a small amount of your own blood

Shixahl's obeisance is eating in excess

Alternately, perhaps it's an immediate, in battle things that happens? Perhaps it blocks out all other powers while in use, or removes the ability to feel pain or defend yourself well? Not feeling pain is more of a detriment than you realize at first.

Not breaking fingers or drinking the blood of babies?

Or kissing dudes?

Breaking fingers is way too harsh and there are no babies around

Kissing dudes is perfect and should be implemented immediately, not sure how I forgot that one

*Edit: Also the character has to be a straight male or lesbian, they're not allowed to like it

Mask of Congenital Insensitivity to Pain?

How about Mask of Sensory Deprivation?

IC: Kopen - Queen's Tunnel (with Lytrel, Nocton, Von Worten)

She was ready the moment the tentacles collapsed. She pushed herself up and bolted in the opposite direction, only to crash headlong into... something. If she could see, she might have recognized Nocton. But her every thought was focused on escape. She needed sound and peace. She pushed off the obstacle and found a way around it, running and running until her torn legs gave out from under her.

It was then that she heard the echoes of her body crashing to the ground. She sobbed with relief, not daring or able to move one step further.

Crashing into Nocton is fine, but you still won't hear anything. Nocton and Von Worten are like, right behind you. Far into the silence field.

I'll confess, I haven't been following as closely as I probably should but quick question.

Is the shopkeeper in the food court(?) still around?

Yeah. I haven't made a post about it, but I can guarantee you that he has been consumed by laughter for the past several minutes.

What effect did Nocton's attack have on the vines?

IC - Aclaraung:

Of course, it was ice that caused the large dragon problems, and led to his entire group falling from the tunnel back into the rest of the arena complex. After watching the commotion around the gem for a short amount of time, he growled, and once it came to stop at the Enforcer's feet, planted his own, and focused upon it again, lifting the gem into the air with his telekinetic abilities.

He had already messed it up once. He wouldn't mess it up again and deprive Elittra of the prize he'd agreed to aid her in obtaining.

-==IC: The Enforcer==-

That would be just too easy, and the Enforcer was having fun watching this. SO, Aclaraung would suddenly find the telekinesis to not work.

Glorious

What effect did Nocton's attack have on the vines?

None at all

Because they aren't vines

E: In all seriousness his shadow disks sliced the tentacles up pretty badly

I mean the smothering attack he just did. Hang on, I'll try to find the quote for it.

This may be the ticket...

Name: Talos

Species: Artificially-Intelligent Humanoid Machination

Power/Weapon 1: Electricity/Magnetism Control (same force; can be used both offensively and defensively)

Power/Weapon 2: Gravity Control

Power/Weapon 3: Sensory Aptitude (unnatural perceptive abilities)

Appearance: Totally mechanical, almost three meters in height, solidly (but fairly leanly) built, silver and titanium metallic armor with dull grey undertones, trans-white eyes, expressionless mask.

Bio: Originated in the Mata-Nui robot; most probably constucted by one of the denizens there; only experience is in chess and logic (as well as some psychology).

Personality/Other: Masculine; excellent reasoning capabilities, but next to no emotional expression; child-like in mentality (except in anything conflict-related).

[if you're gonna be nit-picky about it, make P/W 1 Electricity Control and P/W 2 Magnetism Control. :/ ]

Wall o' text incoming; fixed Hound profile (asked Voltex about this, who said: "Feel free to edit the profile and then re-post it for approval in the topic.", so~), seeing as how I reached the apex of idiocy in my interpretation of how a Kakama worked. This was a bit of a rush job with only minor self-review, but I wanted to get it straightened out before the next round starts, so if I embarrass myself further, my apologies.

-The Erstwhile Hunter-

Name: Hound

Species: Denuian (See below)

Power 1&2: Denuian Physiology: Members of the Denuian species possess an energy-to-power system similar to Toa, but with several major differences. The first and foremost is that the energy converts not into an elemental or environment-affecting ability, but into a personal, visceral power. When activating their energy, Denuians received an onslaught of (the Bionicle equivalent of) hormones and neurotransmitters similar to those humans would receive due to activation of the flight-or-fight responses, albeit in larger quantities and powered by a mystical energy system. Until their energy is depleted (if used continually and at maximum power, a fully energized Denuian would last as long as a Kanohi user of equivalent skill and training), Denuians gain extreme boosts to their naturally impressive physical abilities; this vastly increases their efficiency in combat, allowing them to act and react faster and far more adroitly than others, at the severe cost of having none of the impressive and efficacious environment-manipulation powers of their MU equivalents (or indeed any ranged options at all). While boosted, the Denuian's speed and reflexes are boosted to such a degree that the world seems to slow, enabling dodges and manoeuvres that normally are restricted to Calix users, as well as bequeathing greatly improved speed (nowhere near the insanity of a Kakama, of course; once again Calix usage is the closest comparison). The energy boost affects all of their body, however; a powered Denuian moves not only faster but with far more force, due to a strength boost that matches that of a Pakari. While a Denuian has a distinct advantage against melee combatants, they have to expend a great deal of caution, strategy, and defensive manoeuvres to survive against ranged/elementalist opponents. The energy regenerates overtime if unused, similar to a Toa's elemental energy. Unlike Toa, they cannot utilize their energy in Nova Blast-style bursts for extreme power, or absorb/incorporate anything to recover energy more quickly. Denuians often have a third power, the species equivalent of a Kanohi (described below). TL:DR: Denuians use their energy system to vastly improve their physical abilities, instead of creating or manipulating their natural environment. The boosts are roughly similar to using a Calix and Pakari simultaneously, making them very dangerous melee opponents at the high cost of lacking the possibilities (ranged, melee, defensive, or offensive; I don't think I need to state the possible usefulness of Elemental Powers) of their MU counterparts. (Example usage: In combat against an element-using Toa, a Denuian would try to use their reflexes and speed to avoid elemental attacks to cross the distance between them and their opponent)

Power 3: Hound possesses the passive power of vastly increased sensory perception, equal to a Great Kanohi, and is exceedingly resistant to loud sounds, bright lights, etcetera, due to having even the smallest stimuli be extremely painful for years and years (leading to resistance-through-repeated-exposure).

Appearance: Easily over two bio in height, and proportionately wide, Hound towers over most other combatants. His physique is lean and powerful, a vaguely lupine predatory sense distilled in the vehement, angular features and animalistic movements. In contrast to most beings in the contest, Hound's body is not composed of mechanical and/or organic constructs; it is a mixture of the two, blending the line between organism and machine. His heart, for example, could be viewed as either a mechanical heart carefully and perfectly crafted in imitation of the real organ, or a heart composed of some uncanny, unnatural muscle. The tissue/material composing his form possesses features common to both inorganic and organic material (its durability is no greater than a Zyglak, Toa, Skakdi, or any other equivalent species), echoing the rest of his construction. Since he uses no weapons, his hands are wrapped in thick leather and adorned with brass-knuckles-esque metal pieces, attached to the Shuko covering the bottom of his hands.

Bio: Hound hails from an alternate Matoran universe, where the Great Beings cared not for unity or powers affecting environment, instead focusing on their creations as individuals and bestowing powers and physical structure based on unaccompanied operation. The Denuian species was designed to act as a strange equivalent of both Toa and Glatorian, each one of them loosely attached to a tribe of the species equivalent to Matoran or Agori. They would alternate between protecting (and ruling) their tribe and battling the other tribes for land or resources, engaging in earth-shaking warfare without mercy or clemency. Hound was a dedicated survivor (a rarity among the Denuian species) who would engage in combat only when necessary, preferring to claim resources by discovering them before anyone else, and avoiding the larger, stronger tribes. His skill of a scout and tracker was improved by centuries of action, and his skill in combat was similarly improved in defending his tribe against attackers and the monstrous Rahi that populated his world.

Personality/Other: Quiet and tranquil, Hound is very used to the threat of death and pain, and has adapted to continual danger by becoming dispassionate and objective. He places great importance on objectively considering a situation and doing what is necessary for long-term survival, even if it is extremely painful or callous.

Gonna try to get this (heavily revised) character through again.

Name: Sudrec "The Heretic"

Species: Great Being (technically a member of the Glatorian species)

Power/Weapon 1: Exsidian armor: a suit of armor crafted from Exsidian (Bara Magnan Protosteel) that while based off of the general design of Glatorian armor, is much more robustly built, essentially turning the wearer into a walking tank. The only real weak spots on the armor besides the inside of the gauntlets, which are made of leather, are the joints (knees, elbows, shoulders, waist, groin, etc), but even those spots are protected with Exsidian chainmail. Due to both the armor's design and the inherent resilience of its material, blades and arrows are all but useless against it. Thrusting poleweapons might be able to get through the joints of the armor if the user is strong enough, bullets would be able to do a number on Sudrec through the force of the blow despite not penetrating the armor, and percussion weapons like warhammers and maces will give him a very bad day. The armor is capable of limited self-cleaning, meaning that there is no need to take it off except when Sudrec needs to relieve himself.

Power/Weapon 2: Exsidian Pollaxe: a pollaxe about 7 feet long. Looks much like this one.

Power/Weapon 3: The Seeking Blade: a Rondel Dagger with levitation and self-propelled flight abilities, controlled via a cybernetic implant. Basic movement is controlled by Sudrec's mind along, allowing him to draw, maneuver, and sheath the blade without physically touching it. A targeting system built into his implant allows the dagger to "lock on" to certain targets, then charge at them at high speed in a long ranged stabbing attack. The dagger can be controlled at any moment; however, in order to use its stabbing attack, Sudrec needs a clear view of what his target. (Think the Yaka Arrow from GotG, but without the whistling)

Appearance: Sudrec's overall build is similar to that of a Glatorian (justification here); however, his true appearance has to be left to the imagination, as he is not only encased in the signature cloaks of the Great Beings but also in an all-encompassing suit of armor. Imagine this, with a large, black cloak and hood draped over it.

Bio: while the Great Beings as a whole were known for their love of creation, there existed one individual who loved nothing more than to destroy. Sudrec was originally one of the scientists that worked on the Prototype Robot, but when the project failed and the robot blew itself up, it was not disappointment he felt but a sick love for the beauty of its final moments. Before long, he had obsessively devoted himself to perpetuating the beauty of destruction, hiding his forbidden love from the rest of the Great Beings. And so, he lived this double life for many years, working alongside the Great Beings as they created the Element Lords, the Baterra, the Matoran, and Mata Nui himself; but when his brethren were not looking, he'd conduct his own experiments with the purposes of destruction, while secretly supplying Great Being technology to all sides of the Core War and even participating in some of the fighting himself, disguised as a simple Glatorian. But the chickens would eventually come home to roost: his work was discovered and he was forced to go into hiding. He was eventually killed during the Shattering when a cave he was hiding in collapsed on him...

... Or he would have been, had not the Host selected him for the Bionifight tournament.

Personality: Sudrec is an oddity among the Great Beings; while most of the Great Beings have an obsessive love for creating, Sudrec enjoys nothing more than destruction. While he can get off from simply smashing stuff, he prefers to take a much more subtle approach and slowly facilitate much larger and "more tragic" expressions of destruction. However, he also possess the typical Great Bring drive to create, something he finds paradoxical. Aside from his "destruction-philia", he is very polite and respectful, if somewhat distant, when dealing with Agori, Glatorian, or other sapient species from his homeworld. However, he is quite dismissive of Matoran and other species from the MU due to having had a hand in creating them; as he is aware of their original purpose, he is unable to see them beyond as having any potential beyond being "nanotechnology". At worse, he refuses to even recognize that they are sapient, and when forced to admit it, he will invariably be baffled by how they developed such intelligence. He likes it a lot if somebody asks him for help or about his work, perhaps even more so than his love of destruction; he will eagerly explain what he knows to anybody who asks him of it.

Other: due to participating in the creation of the Matoran, Sudrec knows the ins and outs of the sixteen standard elements very well; however, if confronted with a Toa that can control a power not of the sixteen known to him, he will be at a total loss as to what to do. He has a similar knowledge of common Kanohi masks, but to a lesser degree.
