GM IC: SPECIAL WEAPON - THE USAIN BOLT

"Well done, A.D.!" the voice of the Host said directly into the dragon's ear. "You have taken the Usain Boltthis Special Weapon once belonged to one of the greatest fighters this tournament produced until I hired him and then he... well, to be quite frank, he was eviscerated. Nasty incident, to be sure. I shall not bore you with the details."

There was a paused, and a brief second of static, before the Host continued.

"It will grant you enhanced speed, much like the Kanohi Kakama; unlike the Kakama, however, the Usain Bolt will also enhance your reflexes and allow you to see clearly whilst moving at high speeds. Of course, this will cause a lot of strain upon you, both physically AND mentally, so I would advise against keeping it active for more than a minute at a time. That said, the trails of electricity you'll leave behind might prove both dangerous and useful.... Use it sparingly, and use it smartly! It has become bound to you for the remainder of the War Games."

And then the Host vanished, leaving the dragon with the first of the Special Weapons.

OOC

Usain Bolt - a small black lightning bolt that grants the user enhanced speed and reflexes, as well as allowing them to see clearly when moving quickly. Trails of electricity will follow the fighter while using the Usain Bolt; these will vanish after a few seconds. Using this Special Weapon causes great mental and physical strain upon the user; operating the Usain Bolt for more than a minute at a time is enough to render most beings unconscious for several minutes, leaving them open to attack.

IC: Yoko

As A.D. grabbed the weapon, the Sly Queen turned to look at the dragon, its cold, frozen face concealing a raised eyebrow.

"I thought that Lieutenant Xaeraz ordered that first pick of these Special weapons would either go to Xara or Tenjou Utena."

IC(A.D.): "I was going to give this to Tenjou," the dragon said. He had tried to toss it to Tenjou - but the weapon was still in his hand. "Oops." He just shrugged, looking at Xaeraz. "If I'm going to go pick up people, this might help me get there faster. It's not like it's a cannon or something."

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but you were brought here against your will, and have no way of returning home, just like everyone else here," I replied calmly, "which would therefore indicate that the hosts are more powerful than yourself...."

There had to be some way to talk sense into this chick...

"You stupid karzing animal!" I spat, getting to my feet and dusting myself off, "What part of Tenjou and Xara get first pick of special weapons didn't you understand?" I wasn't mad that the moronic reptile had gotten to the weapon before I had - it wouldn't have been any use to me anyway.

No, what bothered me was that the creature had casually disregarded our entire karzing plan for its own benefit. "We had a plan, and you ignored it! I hope you crash into the karzing pyramid and KO yourself, you dumb little skink."

"Urgh.... too busy sunbaking to pay attention to what's going on around you..." I turned away, forcing myself not to lash out with anything more than just words. The last thing we needed was more teammates trying to kill each other.

OOC: He did. But he forgot to provide the reason of why Xara and Tenjou were given first pick of the weapons.

IC(A.D.): "Whatever. Nobody told me that a planning session was being held, or that I was invited, or there was a reason for anything beyond favoritism." He shrugged. "Now if someone would be so kind as to inform me of the reason my worst enemy is being given a weapon to destroy me with, I'd appreciate it."

IC: Skorm (Arma Virique - Jungle)

Wincing, the Twi-Toa rubbed the back of his head.

"No, my two... entities don't retain any connection. Functionally, they're two halfs of my psyche. They don't even get along all the time. Closest thing to a connection is when I re-merge: the two entities have to consent."

He listened to Langmuir's orders for Kuro. "You know, its really easy for a toa of Light to make simple reflections. If Kuro scouts, we can work out a signal system for quicker communication."

IC Langmuir - Arma Virique - Jungle

Mental note, don't mention the kind of luxuries that normal elementalists enjoyed around Skorm.

"I trust you're familiar with morse code? That ought to do just fine. Also," I turned back to the larger group, a little embarrassed. "I would like to rescind the request for Tarsus and call Amorigiahna up instead. A small mishap on my part..."

IC Tenjou - Royal Blindside - Special Weapons Airspace

The distant sounds of argument reached her ears, it was a good thing she was such a cool and collected person, what with the fact she was in a position to KO either or both of them...

"Emiya, contact the dragon. Explain it's not a personal issue. They seem a little emotionally trigger happy, attempt to calm it." She spoke into the empty air, eyes still peeled and on the horizon. It would be foolish to divert her attention from the real threats. ;Affirmative, sister;

Focusing on the dragon far below, the great bow directed a message towards them ;Xara is not your enemy this round, drake. The reason we and her were given first choice of weaponry was because of our mobility, our strengths, our team player outlooks and our proven track records. Not to mention these women's bipedalism! Not too many weapons are crafted for your four-legged kin;

"Behaving ourselves, I hope?" Her brother's telepathy was one way, group chats and monitoring of what he said were impossible. So she just had to hope he wasn't antagonizing the dragon. ;Of course, sister;

IC Hryfon - Arma Virique - Cove Border

Was the boulder having binding energy poured into it about to roll away? Of course not! The Se-Toa did notice that the rock was requiring more energy to stay put and together than it had been. An oddity for sure, but not the most important fact on his mind. Between the latest volley of shots, he inched towards the edge of the boulder, shouting out for his assailants to hear.

"MIND HAVING A WORD WITH ME?"

"Stop firing," he said, lowering his rifle. "I'll try to talk to him. If he makes a move without my say-so, cut him down." Moving back into a sitting position, he closed his eyes and called on his psionics, putting all of his focus into an attempt to project his mental voice to where the other being was sheltered.

What do you want? the voice was faint, strained due to the distance, but hopefully the other being would be able to pick up on it, assuming they were paying attention...

IC(fishers): The blade entered the Matoran's neck, its thrusting motion severing her brain stem and cutting off her air.

fishers: DEAD

OOC: Have fun. :P

IC(A.D.): A.D. tried not to focus on the words "proven track record". I don't have anything against you, Tenjou,he thought back, not realizing it was the bow. Sorry that you got shorted - I didn't know this would happen. He wasn't in the mood to waste time lashing against her insults. Then he turned back to Xaeraz waiting at the door. "Are we going?"

IC:

"Onaya, Yuri Ironshell, and Kaipatu," The now-familiar, dampened tones of the General's voice rang out from the base of the stronghold. Just loud enough to be heard, but not so loud as to be disruptive. The towering suit of armor was stationed near the entrance, and though her eyes could not be seen, it was clear that she was surveying her army. "Please report to me at once. Ezezko, report to me as well, once you have conferred with Silvanni."

IC:

"Here! Sorry, boss, got held up. Was in the woods." I said easily, approaching the Onu-Toa who'd called my name with my sword propped casually up on one shoulder. Was the truth, too; jungles were a pain to travel through, and while that was what made it a pain for our enemies, it was also what slowed me down. Mud and plants caked my boots, and that wasn't coming off any time soon.

"Zangah reporting."

IC:

"Lieutenant," A smooth, polite voice greeted Ten, its owner easily identified as the white-armored Toa that approached. No weapons were  visible upon his body, save for what almost seemed to be handles attached to his belt. The Re-Toa gave a half bow upon stopping, then straightened his waist and clasped his hands behind his back.

"Soken Uri, at your disposal."

IC: Xaeraz sighed in exasperation. Another fight was boiling up already? He stalked over to AD and Xara and yelled, "Stand down! Both of you! Xara, no name calling. AD, I said Xara and Tenjou get first crack at the weapons. I also said that you and I are going to be making a pickup for some better cover. Now, let's go."

IC: Mirror Lytrel chuckled and slowly withdrew his blade from Fishers, taking a deep breath as he reveled in his newfound companionship. He leaned over her body and whispered, "Not even you will escape this time, Fishers." He turned and stood, marching over to Maeus, hands intact once more.

"Now. Where were we?"

IC: Silvanni

So um yeah, I'm supposed to be doing stuff aren't I?

Don't blame me, again the hand above claims to have been busy.

I think he was just lazy, but hey that's my opinion.

Anyway I called over my team, "Aeila, Astaer and Sudrec."

You see normally I would just go rogue, but leading could be rather fun as well. A pretty good shot at relieving my boredom.

Besides the last time I led anything was at the 1,254,386 Annual Shopkeeper's Convention, I was one of the speakers for the event. Let me just tell you that the Shopkeeper Guilds are extremely boring, it's a bunch of lazy old geezers perfectly content with being Shopkeepers. Really pathetic stuff if you ask me, but ah well.

"Oh, and where was Ezezko anyway? I haven't been paying attention."

IC: Lexa

The Vortixx had been rather startled by the start of round, however the familiar location brought some semblance of comfort to her. She had been told that it was her duty to guard this stronghold, and defending a village in the middle of a jungle was what Lexa had been raised to do. After the laying of traps in the inner perimeter, with the help of the bee love of course, Lexa made sure to return to Langmuir, ready for her next assignment. She may not have appreciated her current situation, but she hoped that by making the most of it she could return home as soon as possible.

IC: Onaya

"Truly fascinating."

The being known as Onaya mused as he surveyed the environment around him, "To think that a place like this existed, why it really is marvelous. Blending together so many self contained ecosystems on such a small scale. It's quite unlike anything on Mata-Nui, I would enjoy the opportunity to study the creations of these beings."

It was at that moment that Onaya heard his name called by the general, "You called madam, I take it you are in need of my help?"

Elly turned away, and wordlessly motioned to the other fighters in her group. She knew it was a waste of time to continue to talk to Dreisen, and simply walked away. IC: [Venga, Tahtorak's Fist, Cliff Stronghold]

"And the Flying Vees are complete!" Venga looked at what he hoped was the cockpit amongst the mess of Vinra's mech, "You missed the epic part of my speech, so here's the gist. We can all fly. That means if we need support sent to any area for whatever means, its us who goes. With a silencer on board I'm thinking we could get a lot of mileage out of being ambushers." "...You do realize I am incapable of flight, correct?" Vinra made a mental note of the fact that the person leading her squad was either incompetent, misinformed, or both.

Both was the worst case scenario.

A psychic? Not exactly the kind of talk he was expecting, but better than the sniper fire.

;A couple moments of not being fired at would be nice. You might want to tell the wannabe tough guy sniper to aim better as well, if I were a ranged fighter he'd of been dead after revealing himself so casually. As for what I really want, I want a team that isn't a bunch of lackadaisical incompetents headed by a walking coffin. Or those who are equivalent to those Kanohi."

IC: Ten

"Ah, good, I was wondering where you were. You are on defense - your arrows are an excellent ranged tool, and I am sure you are capable of defending this area utilizing them." Ten nodded. "You could also be utilized offensively, but, for now, stick close to this area."

Having received a reply, The Puppetmaster was able to establish a connection between his mind and that of the apparent turncoat. With the link closed, other psionics wielders wouldn't be able to listen in, and he wouldn't have to strain his abilities so much to continue the conversation.

"He wants to join us," he said, still not moving from his position, "claims he has information."

I shall confer with my allies to decide the best course of action, he replied to the newcomer. The sniper has instructions to put a bullet through you if you step out of hiding, so I'd suggest you stay where you are for now.

IC: Dexund hissed in irritation, but cut the life force off from the boulder. It hadn't become a golem like he'd hoped, but at least it had been doing something, apparently.

IC: Zakaro (Arma Virique, Strike Team B)

"Good, good! Glad you could all make it, no problems for lateness, I sincerely doubt a few minutes will really make much of a difference in the end," Zakaro commented, crumpling up the list and almost throwing it into the woods, before shrugging and wedging it within his armor.

"Alright! Here's the quick version of the plan, welcome to Strike Team B! We're going to head over to the Cove and try to kill some people, be an annoyance, and perhaps even attack them if a majority of the army seems to be out elsewhere. Otherwise we're more aimed at just slowly degrading whatever defenses are up and being annoying, and trying not to die. Perhaps even go for a Special Weapon if the opportunity arises, we're one of the two offensive groups within Arma Virique. Fun, eh? Any questions may be asked and answered as we head out, but let's be off!"

And Zakaro grinned, turned, and began to make his way through the jungle, navigating around trees and not bothering to be quiet.

The rock had stopped attempting to roll, so he let up on his elemental usage a little, this next move was a tricky one and he needed his concentration. Focusing on the air and light around him, he let his energies permeate the immediate surroundings, binding the light around him in it's current space-time configuration. From outside his small sphere of influence, he would look the same as he had. Inside, he pulled out the entangled sheet of paper, drawing his pencil and writing upon it.

Snipers at the top of the Cove. One with a conventional firearm, a laser user of some type and an elementalist, likely control over stone or gravity. I've gained an audience with them. If the second Strike Team is still at base, warn them as quickly as possible. Also, instruct them to shoot at me a little bit, that'll help with the illusion. Erase this when you've read it. Putting the equipment away, he released the boundary field. Any change undetectable to those outside.
