IC: Skull Carrier

The Skull Carrier, deep in meditation, retreats deeper and deeper into his mind, waiting for some form of communication or sign to instruct him on what to do next. (GM, if you could give him a small vision or have The Host taunt him or something) meanwhile, the tailed spider Scraper watched from the ceilings, looking for some oblivious sap to follow and glean information from.

"My world is different from yours. Mata Nui completed his own destiny, and then left us. And then where was ours? Where is your 'destiny' without the one supposed to guide it?" I spoke without looking up at the face from my book.

Kale Ironshaper

IC: Kale all but collapsed into one of the various chairs in the comfort sector. That was two rounds in a row now. He needed food and more importantly, sleep. The way felt reminded him of his days on the battlefield. Entire days of combat with little to no rest.

It was not a feeling he wanted to be reminded of.

"Nnnnnnngg"

"I serve the weak. I serve the helpless. I am their sword and their shield. If you want to strike at them, you must go through me, and I am not so easily moved."

IC: Yoko

"Congratulations on your being MVP," Yoko said, walking up to the Toa that had taken a seat in the comfort sector. Yoko herself had arrived her after the fight had finished in an effort to explore the area and came across this fighter. It was good to give credit where credit was due, after all.

IC: Sudrec

"Well... That was a bloody mess."

Walking through the halls, Sudrec reviewed the events of the last fight in his mind. It seemed that his mistakes were a failure to coordinate with his team and getting stuck in that house when the water came in.

... Still, this armor wasn't designed for aquatic locomotion. Even if he had been in the open, he would have been a sitting duck.

"Sigh..."

IC: Tomo

A finger poked Miras's back. If he turned around, he'd see what looked like an Av-Matoran but with an armor design evocative of the exosuits of the Makuta.

"You're one of those weird Makuta who control shadow instead of light, right?"

OOC: Sudrec open for interaction. Yoko interacting with Kale, Tomo interacting with Miras

IC: "It said it was going to look for relevant information or some muaka dung like that," Fia said, polishing off the last of her food while she spoke. "I would guess that means it's that 'Knowledge center' on the mp or something. That, or, it lied to you, and is off finding other allies to stab us in the back with. I wouldn't put it past it."

IC: Riss yawned and strolled out of what was apparently her room in the comfort sector, glad to have those silly gills removed at last. She meandered over to a group of armchairs and dropped down into one, sighing contentedly as the plush fabric and fluffy cushions yielded to her and wrapped her small frame in softness. Being on the move so much, she had found a surprising lack of good arm chairs available on tourboats. So, she decided to take advantage of this one while she could.

OOC: Riss, open for interaction.

IC: Miras (Knowledge Sector)

"You're one of those weird Makuta who control shadow instead of light, right?"

"Weird?" I say, turning and glaring down at this insolent Av-Matoran. "Makuta controlling shadow exist in more than ten realities- I have never seen a Makuta of Light. Your statement is invalid."

IC-Ignis

Ignis overheard Arkrax and the Being he spoke to before round 2 talking about the Great spirit. "If you want My honest opinion, The great spirit was never there for me." He growled, turning to face the two. "I just forged my own path."

IC: Tomo

Tomo shrugged. "Well, where I come from, we're light elementals."

A clanking sound could be heard as Tomo activated her shapeshifting powers, her form expanding until an armored titan about the same height as Miras stood before him. "Makuta Tomo, vassal of the Great Being Velika, at your service."

IC: Arkrax - Knowledge Sector

His mind failed to calculate an appropriate response. It was difficult explaining your society to one who comes from a world so vastly different. "...That ~ does not mean ~ we cease searching," he said at last.

It appeared Ignis had returned to them. His words were disheartening. For those that had a heart, that is. "Mata Nui guides ~ even those that ~ do not seek ~ his will. Truly, ~ Destiny has ~ brought us here."

IC: Miras (Knowledge Sector)

I tilt my head to the side slightly in an expression of mild astonishment. "May I ask you where that extra mass came from?"

IC: Tomo

"Um, well... The Great Beings taught me how to absorb energy and mass from the environment without using the Light Hand. They also... Uh, I think they may have installed an implant or changed my power code or something... I dunno. It just happens."

IC Langmuir - Medbay

A bow? I'm reminded uncomfortably of the foreign psykers in my world. I had never gotten along with the ones I met, and all those skirmishes had left a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention their outright refusal to ally with Mata-Nui when darkness was knocking on both of our doorsteps. We hadn't heard from them in nearly fifty years, maybe they'd all perished after all. Of course, that was besides the point. This skakdi had nothing to do with them, so I returned the bow.

"My name is Langmuir, no titles for me."

IC Hryfon - Knowledge Sector

Finally, these people were talking in terms he could understand. Though, the great beings and Mata-nui of their worlds seemed vastly different to his own. Another couple of people had joined the conversation, the Se-Toa thought it would be interesting to see how effective his mask was. Perhaps he could turn this group to his own will...

IC Tenjou - Comfort Sector

She was sleeping soundly in her room in the comfort center. The last round had ended a little anticlimactically for her, but a couple fights in a row would tire anyone out.

"There's another thing that you may not know. Our 'Great Beings' also were 'Great Killers.' Tell me. Have you ever heard of 'Marendar?' " I spoke continuing to read. "And hello to you, Ignis."

IC: Miras (Knowledge Sector)

"Interesting. The most likely explanation of this seems to be that when you shapeshift, your extra mass is shunted into a pocket dimension whereupon it can be retrieved when required. But that's the scientist inside me speaking; I'm Miras, emperor of Spherus Magna," I continue, extending a clawed hand in friendship.

IC Kotak:

Beaten. Again. He stood, more angry at himself than anyone else, and stormed out of the med bay.

IC Tirkah:

"Aw, come on, you lazy blighters, give us a show!"

It seemed the two karz holes weren't fighting any more, and he was done cleaning his weapon. He took his leave of the Commercial sector, only to run into not one but two Makuta.

"Velika's left testicle," He muttered, dropping to his knee and taking aim at the red and black one. He was facing away from him, there was no way he'd know the shot was coming.

His finger tightened on the trigger.

A loud boom rang out across the hall as the Rifle blasted away, the large shell flying toward the dark abomination.

OOC: Miras and Construct, that's you.

A bang, and I immediately decrease my personal gravity, slamming myself against the ceiling. The shell hits a bookcase, and the horrible scent of burning knowledge fills the room. Dropping back down to the ground, I stare at the attacker, my eyes drilling into his. "I will not fight you this day."

IC: Maglev/Knowledge Sector

"Let me tell you a story. Suppose the 'Great Beings,' maker of Mata Nui, maker of Matoran, maker of us, that created us thought that we would return and act as evil conquerors. They had a machine made to kill, and given the power to take away our elements. We were slaughtered. And by the time a hero sacrificed himself to save us, only a quarter of the original species remained. Tell me. Is it destiny that we would be killed?"

I looked up, my eyes piercing the data that made up this individual. I was annoyed at the fact that he was interrupting my book, even though it was my fault for speaking aloud, so I was going to give him a little bit of my world's history.

Kale Ironshaper

IC: The only things that moved were Kale's eyes as he glanced at the newcomer. She was neither one of the fighters he had studied in the library nor one of the ones in the most recent round, which meant that she was new. Had probably been watching the match on one of the screens set up around the facility.

"Thank you. Pardon me for being rude, but you have me at a disadvantage. Obviously you know my name but I have no idea who you are."

"I serve the weak. I serve the helpless. I am their sword and their shield. If you want to strike at them, you must go through me, and I am not so easily moved."

Spectataor: when does the round end?

Just because you're trash doesn't mean you can't do great things.

It's called garbage can, not garbage cannot!

-IC:-

Hound sat in utter silence in the Knowledge Sector, surrounded by towers of literature composed of various tomes of widely varying subjects; once again, these strange beings with the ability to generate sections of the natural world had defeated him with the ease of squashing a insect. A mixture of embarrassment and sadness was growing inside of him; he was not only failing himself, but his allies. He would do better, study harder; nothing else mattered.

-IC:-

Selaphiel wasn't bothered by the teleportation; compared to having your body's density in continual flux, it was incredibly mundane. She wasn't bothered by much, to be honest; nothing had excited her either positively or negatively for quite a while. She spent her time watching in silence or keeping her kinetic energy reserves full; sometimes she did both. Now, for example, she was in the Training Sector, driving her fists into a punching bag without so much as moving a single grain of sand, and listening to the conversation of those around her.

-IC:-

I'm waiting for a response from Ms. Unhinged when the screens declare that the round's ending, standing in awkward silence. As fighters began to march past, conversation filling the air, I shrug and abandon my current companions with a murmured see you later and some quick footwork. No reason to stand around with the psychotic when I can scout out some information as to what's going on.

Humming softly to myself, I saunter towards the Comfort Sector.

OOC: All characters (Hound, Selaphiel, and Dynomi, in Knowledge, Training, and Comfort/Commercial sectors, respectively) open for interaction.

IC: Arkrax - Knowledge Sector

He truly had no response to that. Destiny controlled all actions, the good and the bad. But he had learned saying such things caused... injury. But he never left eye contact, as much as a projection could maintain it. "Apologies," he muttered.

IC: Virse - Knowledge Sector

As she wandered between the shelves, she came across a familiar beast of a being. She had watched it tear her friend apart, and then been brutally killed by it. To see such a creature... reading was startling. She lurked behind one of its book piles to try to discover what was so important.

IC: Mirror - Med Bay

He watched the two introduce themselves and figured he should do the same. "...Mirror," he said simply. "I... don't believe there was much time for introductions in the Arena."

IC: Maglev/Knowledge Sector

"I'll apologize as well. We come from different universes. And from the history textbooks, our people have also praised Mata Nui in the time before time. So I understand why others still praise him."

I softened my expression and turned to Ignis.

"And hello my friend. How did the round go for you?"

IC: "A pleasure, both of you!" Halken thundered, grinning as his race was wont to do. He replaced his monocle back over his eye and continued, "Nay, there was not, least of all when Mr. Langmuir here was performing an excellent move like that! I must ask, good sir, exactly how did you do that in the first place?"

As soon as I see his finger tighten on the trigger, I leap out of the way, the bullet soaring past me again, leaving a dark scratch-mark in my armour.

-IC:-

Virse would find tomes mostly possessing titles of an extremely boring and philosophical nature; Treatise of Elemental Nature, Critique of Pure Creation, The Phenomenology of Element, etcetera. Another pile a few feet away contained a sharply contrasting collection of Toa self-help books relating to elemental impotence. It was an eclectic selection, to be certain.

"I..." Hound's spoke with startling certainty; although Virse was unaware, he had been following her movements instead of reading the tome currently occupying his hand (Thus Spoke Mata-Nui). "I'd like to apologise for what I did to you," His voice was as deep and rumbling as usual, but smoothed by sadness. He had felt depressed since he recognised her unique scent; never before had he been forced to apologise to his victims. "It was cruel and barbarous. I will not waste your time with excuses, but know I regret my actions."

It was like watching a lion trying to explain itself to the family of a recently-eviscerated zebra. Poignantly absurd.

IC: Donrioda

Lazing around in the medbay wasn't going to do anything. Not at all. Donrioda swung herself off of the bed after a good while of resting, and slunk out of the Medbay...

OOC: Donrioda open for interaction.

IC: Ten

Fwumph. Well. That was unfortunate. He didn't even get to KO the Fire toa with his patent-pending HARDLIGHT MINE! Oh well, it didn't matter. Ten rolled off of his bed in the Comfort sector, and glanced around the room.

It needed to look better. He'd have to get to that later. For now, it was time to see if anyone familiar was around. Maybe that Toa of earth from last time... Zarako? Zaroko? Zerkari? Whatever his name was. Ten slid his door open, and stepped out of his room.

OOC: Ten open for interaction.

IC Langmuir - Medbay

"Well, several metals exist that react with water by creating flammable gases, heat and other byproducts. I couldn't tell you the why, just that that is what happens." I produced a small dagger of the metal in question, it quickly dulled, taking on a flat appearance. "In air, there isn't enough water to do much. Underwater, the reaction becomes runaway, more heat and gases are created than is safe. Eventually, the whole thing explodes. If my plan had gone correctly, it would've detonated in the midst of that melee. Unfortunately, someone nearby slowed them." I reabsorbed the dagger. "I suppose that's what you get for playing with fire, right?"

IC: Arkrax - Knowledge Sector

He nodded, seeing there were no hard feelings, and turned back to the Puppetmaster. They were in the midst of a conversation when these others approached. He had asked who controlled Destiny, to which Arkrax had responded "Mata Nui," in so many words. The conversation had... derailed from there.

IC: Virse - Knowledge Sector

She ducked behind a shelf as the beast spoke, but it did no good. The same acute senses that had allowed it to find her in the city found her once more. She walked into his sight with a sigh.

She was never one to hold a grudge. Fight a war for a long enough time, and you just ended up with a grudge against everyone and everything. And that leaves one hardened, yet brittle, like Stone. Her training had softened those feelings, allowing all the hatred to crumble away into Sand. What it had done to her and Buzzz was terrible, but she had done terrible things as well. It was war here too.

She sat back on another chair with head down. She took a breath and tried to explain, but could not. She settled on a hoarse, "What are you?"

IC: Kaipatu

Kaipatu was quickly at the knowledge sector. His first sight was Tirkah, and his smoking rifle. But then he looked at what it was aimed at. His eyes widened. His katana was up in a second, and he prepared to use his Kualsi.

IC: "I don't think the Akrax is capable of deceit." Tuyetkhamun considered her words, considered what she knew of Arkrax and considered comparisons from her home world, "I think it could give you a very precise definition of the word. But it could not perform any deceptions itself. It does not appear to be in its nature. I think it would explode if it tried."

IC: After a time, Selaphiel may have felt a stare boring into her. Skrall was a frequent visitor to the training sector; partly to maintain his own strength and build, but partly to watch other competitors. For tactical reasons, obviously. There was a plethora of powers in this tournament that he had never seen before, or never even conceived of anyone having. Understanding what they were and how they worked was key to beating them. So he watched Selaphiel, an unknown creature with an unknown power, in the hopes of gaining some insight into her weaknesses
