IC: "Central, this is Xaeraz," the fe-toa said, shortly after Maglev had erected his ice dome. "We just took sniper fire and, while it missed us, we could use some actual cover here. I don't suppose you could spare a couple soldiers to make us some?"

Kale Ironshaper- Royal Blindside- Pyramid

IC: "Understood. I'll send out Turbo and Zephyr. I suggest you send a couple people back in order to retrieve them." for a couple seconds he glanced down at the table again, judging distances and speeds. "You hear that Kopen? Please tell the two I named to be ready for pickup shortly."

IC: "Affirmative, Kale," Xaeraz replied, walking over to the newly arrived Antiro Vod.

"Antiro, I know you just got here, but we've got incoming friendlies to shore up our defenses. A Bo-toa and an iron wielder. You and I are going to pick them up. Everyone else, keep this spot secure. Fall back if you must to avoid casualties. Xara and Tenjou get first crack at any special weapons that spawn." With a nod, he turned to Maglev and Arkrax.

"Gentlemen, we could use an exit, if you please."

IC(A.D.): The dragon shivered. Really, they were cowering in an ice dome because of a few snipers. The amount of condescension in this room was palpable. Why weren't they taking advantage of this ground and attacking?

IC(Kalatin): The gelatin waited, bored.

IC(Ismekne): Ismekne listened her teammates chatter before taking up a position outside the stronghold.

IC: [Tuyetkhamun, Blindside Army, Pyramid Exterior]

"I fail to see how that makes any difference," the God-Queen stated, matter-of-factly, "In one universe or another, I am still the same. Tuyetkhamun is. By all rights every denizen of this dimension should have been bowing down to me as soon as I was brought here. And the sooner I correct this oversight the better."

IC: [Venga, Tahtorak's Fist, Clifftop]

"Ah, and now we are three." Still waiting for the Vortixx and her mech. Hopefully she'd turn up or he'd have to go find her. Still things to be done in the meantime.

"The Lord-General Halken has decreed that we, plus a Vortixx named Vinra, are to be a mobile unit acting as air support where needed. One of the other teams needs cover for a retreat? Out we go. Some needs reinforcements that can be there swiftly and with no worry about terrain? Out we go. Even if all we need to do is go carry someone to a spot they're needed. Out we go. We are the Flying Vees and I will make sure we do our job properly. Now you, Vorzin." He took a step closer to the recently landed wyvern, "Our information says you have plasma breath. How low a temperature could you get a burst of it? The more adaptions I can pick up before combat the better, and resistance to climate extremes is always a handy one. I should be able to pick it up from exposure to your breath, assuming you can get it to a level that doesn't incinerate me on the spot."

IC: Lytrel

Lytrel was bored.

"I want to wak up in a city that never sleeeeeeps - huh?"

A voice had called out signalling an enemy. Lytrel peered over the edge of the cliff, looking for hostiles.

Picking up a pebble from the cliff, Lytrel gazed down at the ground below, looking for signs of life.

Don't fall...

IC: Yoko

Taking refuge inside the dome, the Sky Queen sat down and waited.

"This could take a while."

IC Tirkah:

"Enemy in the cove! Open fire!"

IC: The Puppetmaster - Tahtorak's Fist - Clifftop.

From further along the clifftop, The Puppetmaster heard the cry and sighted on the spot Tirkah was firing at. "Come out, come out, whoever you are...." he whispered, firing a bolt of hardlight past the rock.

IC: [Tuyetkhamun, Blindside Army, Pyramid Exterior]

IC: Miril - Royal Blindside Army - Pyramid Exterior.

"Well, considering that I've never heard of you before, I think it's pretty safe to assume that you and whatever authority you claim to have only exists in your one world, and therefore is completely irrelevant here."

IC Langmuir - Arma Virique - Jungle

I thought for a few moments, running over possibilities for these two. "Skorm, when you use your dividing ability, do your two er, halves, have a mental connection? That would give us a good method of longer range communication if one of you stayed here and the other acted as a scout."

Turning to Kuro in his Avenger Angel, I pointed towards the southwest and it's far off special weapons area. "Does your control over light include things such as illusions? If so, a simple self cast illusion and your flight powers would make you a good scout. We're playing defense, but I plan to stay proactive. The more people we can catch at the fringes, nearer the explosives and environmental traps we've set the better." I handed him a copy of the map that Oinez and Lexa had worked on earlier, showing locations of traps. "If you catch sight of anyone and can lure them into traps, that's all the better. If it is an overwhelmingly large force, return to base with haste to inform us."

IC Hryfon - Arma Virique - Cove Border

His right palm lay on the stone, elemental energies strengthening the rock's fundamental bounds. It wouldn't be pierced by sniper fire anytime soon. The pause between shots was consistent, he knew that the sniper's weapon was a semi-automatic and had a magazine of some sort. He did not know how large said magazine was, though experience with similar weapons had him guessing it was in the range of five to eight rounds.

A bolt of energy struck nearby. Another sniper, great.

...but close to it

IC: Kopen - Pyramid (Royal Blindside)

Kopen heard her name called and her head popped back into the Control Room to give a quick nod. "Got it."

Turbo immediately stood out in her mind for her... unique build. It wasn't every day you met someone with wheels. Zephyr would be a bit trickier. There were a lot of Toa here and she hadn't quite figured out how to identify them yet.

But she ran back to the entrance, hoping it was a good bet. Many of the others were waiting just outside for the orders to move. Kopen stopped in the grand entrance and straightened up. "Turbo, Zephyr!" she called out with as much authority as she could muster. "We need you at Center! Wait for your escorts, and then move out!"

"This shall be done."

I headed out to the border.

IC: "Ahhhh, a future warrior of my legion of the accursed!" Dexund cackled as he stared down into the cove. Watching the area below, he followed the shots from Puppetmaster and Tirkah, then reached out with his own powers and gently imbued the boulder Hryfon was behind with life. The boulder shook itself slowly, then began to rumble and roll towards the toa behind it.

IC: Zephyr grumbled at the blind matoran, but shook himself free of sand and stood up, a pair of wooden blades he had managed to grow despite the heat tucked into a belt of vines. Turning to the blind matoran, he asked, "What should I expect for my escorts, hm?"

IC: Ten

Ten looked to Ignis, squinting his eyes at the Ta-Toa as he did so. "Fire control. Two weapons, both fairly short range...stay at the base. If things get hairy, try burning the brush to drive people away, but do so carefully. We have people using it as cover, and we don't want to get rid of it." His head swiveled back to Yuri, and he continued, "He's a Vortixx, tall, should find him around somewhere. He leads one of the Strike Teams, and considering what he is capable of, he's the go-to guy for launching you at things. Or at least saying where to launch you."

Oh good, that must be Zephyr. Just as she was feeling good about finding him, his question made her squirm uncomfortably. "Um... I... I don't know. They're bringing someone from the strike team to pick you up."

IC: Virse - Control Room (Royal Blindside)

Virse stepped back into the Control Room and gave a quick salute to Kale. "The dust is all clear, sir. No tracks, no landmarks. The enemy will have no help finding us here."

IC: Skorm (Arma Virique - Jungle)

Wincing, the Twi-Toa rubbed the back of his head.

"No, my two... entities don't retain any connection. Functionally, they're two halfs of my psyche. They don't even get along all the time. Closest thing to a connection is when I re-merge: the two entities have to consent."

He listened to Langmuir's orders for Kuro. "You know, its really easy for a toa of Light to make simple reflections. If Kuro scouts, we can work out a signal system for quicker communication."

The times, they are a-changing...

IC: "Then how in My name are we supposed to know if they're with us or the enemy, hm?" Zephyr sighed. "I have to think of everything. Contact your field commander and ask him who is coming to get me and the other one."

IC: Mirror Lytrel sighed and turned to Maeus, exasperation uncharacteristically plain on his features. Gesturing to the matoran, he said, "She's no use. Of course, now I know that. Might as well put her under. We'll have her in the next Sota Games."

IC: Zakaro (Arma Virique)

With another lapse in silence, Zakaro tried once more to gather his team.

"Zangah, Owethed? I need you over here, please!"

IC: Bajets (Tahtorak's Fist, with Halken and Alisa)

"Not bad," she replied in surprise, taking a cigar and inspecting it, before tucking it into a pocket.

"I'll celebrate later, we do have a task to do at the moment."

IC(fishers): "It seems that Maeus' funny chemical soup has worn off," fishers said. "What would be really funny is if you had a bathtub down here. And a teleportation device. Fill it with some water, and since I have slit ankles and wrist, it will look really creepy. Maybe paint a message on my chest for added creepy effect. Then you can have me appear like down in Engineering or something. I'm sure Driesen will love that." The Matoran even laughed, a huge smile forming the gloriousness of that plan.

Except that's not quite what I have in mind. Once you get me out of these straps, Mirror Lytrel, I'll kill you. I still have a shotgun, and I'll use it to blow you away. You're clearly a problem. Not a huge problem, but still a problem.

IC: Kopen - Pyramid (Royal Blindside)

She backed up a step under the verbal onslaught. Why didn't she think of that? A proper general would have.

Kopen hated giving in to this stuck-up Toa, but there wasn't much of a choice. "Very well," she replied coldly. She turned away and walked a short distance down the hall, placing one hand on the headset she had been given. "Xaeraz, there's a Toa here who must know who you are sending. Can I get a description?"

GM IC: MAEUS FO KURU

The Skakdi smiled at Fishers.

"You wish to be freed? Very well, dear Fishers," he said.

The Doctor slowly undid the restraints, making sure to leave the Matoran's arms for last, positioning himself behind her as he did so - leaving Mirror Lytrel directly in her firing path if she decided to attack.

GM IC: DREISEN - ENGINEERING

"Going to the Knowledge Sector?" the Toa asked, sounding suspicious. "With this many fighters? Why?"

GM IC: SPECIAL WEAPON SPAWN

The fighters of the Royal Blindside Army gathered around the spawn point for the Special Weapons were all thrown back several feet as the spawn point flashed with a blinding white light, a shockwave rippling through the air.

When their sight returned, they would notice a small black lightning bolt lying flat on the pedestal.

The first Special Weapon had spawned - what would it do, and who would claim it as their own?

"Half of them tried to cut up each other." Elly said with an obviously exasperated look on her face. "One of them thinks this all is an illusion, and I need something to help prove it isn't; plus, I want to show you just why I do what I do." Elly said, as she frowned at Dreisen.

IC: Maglev/Blindside, Strike Team, Special Weapons Spawn

A blast swept me almost off my feet. I stood up and immediately repaired my side of the dome. I turned to the group. It was then when I saw the black bolt.

"Xara! Tenjou! The first weapon has spawned!"

IC(fishers): As soon as her arms were free, fishers did not hesitate for a moment before pulling her shotgun and firing it straight at Mirror Lytrel's eyes, hoping to at least blind him if not blow his head off.

And then yelped in pain as the recoil from the weapon hit her injured wrist. Karzanhi.

IC(A.D.): A.D. shielded his eyes from the bright light as the Special Weapons spawn activated. Once it was done, he approached it cautiously, reaching out one of his claws to tap the lightning bolt on the top of it. I could totally use this against Xara, but best to make sure it's not a trap first...

IC: Mirror Lytrel stumbled backwards as the Shotgun ripped right through his head, leaving it split open and hanging awkwardly off his neck. Oddly, there was no blood, flesh, or bone visible, only a silvery sheen where there should have been mangled remnants of a neck. Slowly, the head rose up, a malicious grin stretching impossibly wide despite everything above the mouth being missing. The twisted fragments of his head warped and reformed into Lytrel's face, before twisting into Fishers' instead. Mirror Lytrel-Fishers cocked their head, staring at the matoran with pure, empty blue eyes, the grin never wavering from their face.

"Now, dear Fishers, why would you do that?"

IC(fishers): fishers took aim and fired at the face again. Then the chest.

"Because you are a cold blooded torturer who derives pleasure from other people's suffering." fishers said. "Maeus here is testing people's fears and emotions in some sort of higher purpose." She sat up. "But you - you're just a sadistic jerk. Like the people I've been killing for the past thousand years. So I take my opportunities when I get them, Makuta."

IC: "Sure. One of us is incredibly handsome and charming, and the other one of us is slightly less so." He paused for a moment before saying, "Seriously though, it's me and Antiro Vod. He's green and gray, wears an overcoat. Miru. We'll be on our way as soon as he's ready to leave."

IC: Mirror Lytrel-Fishers advanced on the matoran, body melting back together as each shot ripped through them. They raised one hand, staring at it for a second before it transformed into a blade, glinting in the basement's light.

"I've been killing for the past thousand years, and I take my opportunities where I can get them, Matoran." With that, he triggered the Invisibility Gem and disappeared from view.

"Got it... thanks, Xaeraz." She turned back to Zephyr with arms folded. "You are going to be picked up by Lieutenant Xaeraz and Antiro Vod. The first, a tall Toa of Iron with a scoped Pakari, and the second a green and grey Toa with a Miru and overcoat. Are you happy now?"

"Again, I do not see why that would be the case. My power and authority is total and that extends to other dimensions. To claim otherwise is merely the hosts trying to usurp my position." The logic was plain to see for Tuyetkhamun. She couldn't understand why this other was having so much trouble with it

IC: [Turbo Vixen, Royal Blindside, Pyramid Exterior]

Alright, looks like she was being called into action. About time! And hopefully the fight would be on something different than all this forsaken sand!

IC(fishers): fishers sat up on the table, gritting her teeth as she reloaded. One of the fortunate things in this world was that fishers was left-handed. Okay, let's count. Dude can apparently turn invisible, and shapeshift to absorb shotgun blasts. He can create knives out of thin air as well. One of my wrists isn't working too good, and while I might be able to limp out of here, I'm not running.

"Okay, you're smarter than I gave you credit for earlier," fishers said, looking at Maeus. "Where do I get me one of those?" She pointed at where Mirror Lytrel had been standing earlier.

GM IC: MAEUS FO KURU

The smile that Maeus gave her was absolutely chilling. His eyes looked dead, and the sinister aura that surrounded the Skakdi seemed to have grown tenfold.

"Oh, do not worry, dear Fishers," he said, chuckling darkly. "You will find out very soon."

IC: Mirror Lytrel loomed invisibly behind Fishers, silently deactivating his gem to nod at Maeus. The blade arm drew back, then rushed forward, pointed directly at the matoran's neck without even the whoosh of it cutting through the air.

IC: Xaeraz paused, going over ideas in his head for a second, before shaking his head and touching his hand to his ear again.

"Change of plans, Kopen. I'm sending a dragon instead." Turning around, he told the group, "Okay, Antiro, sorry about that, I'd like to ask you to stay here. Air might be useful for deflecting any other shots. AD!" He pointed at the dragon near the pedestal. "We have a pickup to make near the pyramid!"
