I can only just stop myself from bursting into tears - it had been going so well, and I had just said one thing wrong. I shakily run-stumble after Nymph, shouting his name before he reached the Library: "Nymph, please!" I catch up with him a little, "You can trust me with whatever you were going to say..." Can he, though? After everything I've done...

 

IC: Torch - Nynrah

I turn, and another matoran comes into view...he's holding a Kanoka Launcher, too, but not for long--

 --He's fired a disc at me and--

 --Now what? It takes me a few seconds ta get my bearings, the world spinning around me dizzily. I seem to be somewhere completely different, on the roof of a hut. I look around, and see Shock at the other end of the street, strangely enough. What the karz?

It's just so annoying ! They just don't understand ! I'm just tryin' to burn down a village, and they just have  to ruin it. Aaargh, it makes me so angry ! ! I'm seething ! ! They should all burn ! ! ! I SAID THEY SHOULD ALL BURN ! ! ! ! ALLLLL BUUUUUURRRRRNN ! ! ! ! !---

I'm knocked backwards as the roof half a metre in front of me erupts in a shower of flaming rubble. I lose my footing and stumble backwards, backwards, aargh-- and off the edge of the roof. The split second fall isn't long enough to get into flight mode, and I slam into the rocky ground with force enough to knock the air outta my lungs. I lie there.

IC: Shock

Shock looked around. Where was Torch? He heard a thud, and looked over. There he was, lying on the ground. Even worse, a matoran was aiming a ghostblaster at him. Quickly, Shock rushed the matoran. The matoran looked over at the Rahk rushing him, and fired the blaster. Shock had to leap to the side to avoid it. Another matoran took this moment to rush him, and slashed with his sword at Shock's chest. The matoran stumbled back, shocked, but the damage was done. Shock yelled, and then threw his sword at the matoran. While it did not cut the matoran, the butt of the sword hit the matoran in the mask, cracking it. The matoran stumbled back some more, then after a moment collapsed. Slowly, Shock got up and retrieved his sword. Then, he tried to attack the Nynrah Ghostblaster dude- and threw the sword again. The blaster got knocked out of his hands, and Shock ran and punched. After the matoran got punched hard in the gut, he promptly collapsed, and Shock stomped on his face. When he lifted his foot up, the matoran had mask shards dug into his pancaked face. After that, Shock collapsed behind a building. "Get up Torch! Burn them! Burn them all!"

IC: Nymph (Almost at the Library)

although why actually are you so paranoid with this stuff? i mean, i should know seeing as im your subconscious, but hey, rule of cool, right?

 

Rahkshi: vindictive, violent, intolerant, just generally nasty. I don't trust these ones... not after what the others did to me.

 

Only then do I realise that Sharp has followed. 

Eyes wild, I dive through the doorway into my bookish haven.

IC: Sidonas - Visorak

Sidonas looked from Exxan to Fang, then back to Exxan. "Exxan, no time to argue. Fang and I already have a well developed plan in place. We get everyone, use the tunnels, then whatever Visorak follow will be distracted by yours truly. When all of our own are out on the right end of the tunnel Fang will collapse it. With that most, and all the remaining Visorak if we are lucky, of the Visorak will be trapped or killed under a lot of wood. Now let's gather everyone up and get back to the Crawler." Sidonas loaded one of the few bolts remaining and looked over at the direction of the tunnels.

IC: Dakilik

 

Dakilik stopped momentarily. He turned to look at the new person who just walked in. He was about to say something, then thought better of it and simply blasted a wall of sound from his guitar towards the newcomer. He then continued playing with Vaalku.

What to do! He's obviously ignoring me...

I have a Few Ideas.... Hehehehe....

Blade listened, Then went over to the nearest bookshelf, picked out the thickest book he could and threw it at that Guitar/Axe

Dakilik merely rotated his axe 90 degrees, and the book was sliced in half the second it made contact, not making any change in the song.

Dakilik was oblivious to Blade walking up behind him. 

 

"What's that, narrator? Blade's walking up behind me? Why, thank you."

 

Dakilik then proceeded to turn around and swing his axe at his assailant.

Blade brought up his Shield to block the axe, and Pushed forward with it.

IC: Vlad / Infirmary

 

 

Vlad shrank back from the infamous warrior. Really, Xara was intimidating from across the room. When she was up close staring at you and hissing menacingly, the effect was exponentially greater.

 

Somehow, though, he maintained eye contact the whole time and gathered the courage to speak - he wasn't planning on betraying anyone, so he had nothing to fear, right? His shaky voice halfway thwarting his attempts to enunciate more understandably, he declared, "Unt I svear by all zer light - " stupid, she hated him already for his luminous inclinations, " - er, in Karzahni, zat I vill prove vorthy of your trust."

 

OOC: I haven't written it any differently, but assume that Vlad is speaking a little more clearly than normal for Xara's benefit.

IC: Dakilik

 

Dakilik, realizing that this guy was probably way stronger than him, backflipped and landed behind Vaalku.

 

OoC: Ha. Now we wait for Ghiddy.

Blade walked around Vaalku, and swung his sword at this persons axe.

IC: Exxan - Backstab (Farsholt Village Outskirts). 

 

"I'm not going to stand around and argue with you morons," I hissed, wondering why Fang was suddenly making idiotic suggestions. "The Visorak are scattered, and their queen is wounded. If we fly directly to the Crawler, we'll be gone before they regroup. If we go down into the tunnels it'll take twice as long to get back to the Crawler, and we'll just wind up getting trapped."

 

Oh, of course.... they didn't know. "The Visorak used the tunnels to get to here," I explained, "there's sure to be more of them down there, and we can't fight our way out if we're stuck between two halves of the horde."

Sidonas looked at Exxan. "For once I might agree with something you say. You know the quality of our wounded?" Sidonas pulled out his Codex and quickly scanned his maps, then placed it back.

No surprise there, though she had understood him this time, at least. Why would any Rahkshi trust someone who glowed, for Mata Nui's sake? That was part of why he liked Matoran so much - they too followed the light.

 

And speaking of Matoran... "Vell, regardless, time is runnink out." he said, trying not to let any of his disappointment come through his voice. "Ve had best get to vork hidink this Matoran. Did you have somethink in mind...?" Would she think him incompetent (and admittedly he kinda was) for not having his own plan? Or would she rather lead the way? Probably - hopefully - the latter.

Mortsia asked. He was starting to get the feeling he was being ignored.

"Well this stinks. Most boring job ever. Well got nothig better to do than this". Mangai scribbled a note sayinng: Come out and take your chances or stay in there and starve. I'd promise that we won't hurt you but you'd never believe me anyways. But whatever you think we'll do must beat starving in a closet.

 

He slipped it under the door. "Who am I kidding? There's probably not enough light for him to read anyway. Whatever. This job still stinks. Tick tock tick tock, not to be impatient but you know what forget it. Congrats for the longest discussion with yourself reward Mangai"

IC: Fang - Visorak Jungle (Team Backstab)

 

His eyes flicked between Exxan and Sidonas. Suddenly, that small bit of information changed everything. Though he tried to remain sure, he appeared noticeably deflated. Somehow, Exxan know what he was doing far better than he did.

 

What few arguments he could conjure seemed pathetic. He had lost again. Without another word, he turned back to Kat and tossed her Venom. She would have a better use than he.

 

"Who do we need to carry?" he sighed.

IC: Exxan - Backstab (Farsholt Village Outskirts).

 

Fang looked hurt, "Listen, I respect that you came here with a plan," I said to him, "but on the battlefield, a good strategist has to be able to adapt and change their plans to suit changes in circumstances." 

 

I passed the sword to Kat, "Try not to cut yourself."

IC Kat: I caught Venom deftly in one hand, and Remembrance deftly in the othe- ow. Fingers broken. Right.

 

Hiding my grimace behind a mischievous grin, I turned back to the colossal spider, walking around to the front where it's massive eye could see me plain as day.

 

Activated my power, channeling it into both blades.

 

And stabbed them both deep into the emerald eye of the beast.

"First of all, Exxan, thanks for the advice. Second.." Sidonas said his next sentence as a sort of reply to Fang's sigh. "Hey, it was my plan to begin with. If any criticism on the idea, positive or negative, should arise, then blame me. The original concept was mine to begin with." Sidonas turned away from the both and looked up at the trees above, putting his hand on Hook's handle. "Right. Now that is settled. We should find our friends and get all of us out of here. Where to and will anyone need assistance as far as getting them to the Crawler?" Sidonas took in a breath.

IC: Revenge-Hallway

 

Revenge aproaced Mangai.  "How is it going?"

IC: Vitesse

Vitesse observed who was their: an unknown Rahk, Mangaia, and... Char. Shaking off that feeling of distrust, Vitesse observed the door. She guessed that the door was barricaded. The only way in was the vents, but nobody was small enough. Wait... The vents. Maybe a Rahk didn't have to be naturally small... "Does anybody know a shape shifting Rahk?" Vitesse asked, a plan forming.

Dakilik blocked the antagonist's blow, stood up, and bowed to the newcomer. "My apologies, m'lady. I was just schooling this here Mr. Blade. I didn't know it was disturbing you." he said with the utmost sarcasm.

 

OoC: Chumpu, is Poly the one who went crazy and killed Dallior?

We leaned in close. "You are disturbing more than just us. You should consider yourself lucky that such students as Exxan are not here. Not everyone is as..... Polite.... As we are."

IC Vaalku

 

Vaalku growled. This time he was completely innocent. His "music" had been nothing more than a few quiet, jumbled notes that didn't seem to bother anyone. Then, in comes commando chaos, who proceeds to tick off Deadeye, annoy the one called... Blade? odd. And attract the attention of Poly, whose sanity he didn't trust either. He rose angrily.

 

"Listen, airhead." He snapped at Dakilik. "You may come from a land of untold chaos, and thought that was all you would find here. But some people are still sane enough to realize swinging an axe around for no reason and ticking off everyone you see gets you killed. So, will you please either control your pointlessness in the library, or take out your adrenaline in the gym?"

OOC: Alpha and Punch were already making their way to the Crawler along with Sanu if was following.

 

IC: Alpha and Punch+Counterpunch+Uppercut/Forest

As this was happening, Punch and Alpha were escorting the captured to the Crawler. Alpha was carrying Stronghold's suit.

 

Punch solemnly made sure Stronghold's Kraata was alive every step of the way taking the utmost care in transporting him, as to avoid making his previous mistakes.

Dakilik was slightly miffed. Then again, he was crazy. He was always miffed.

 

Dakilik didn't let it show, however. He pressed a button on the axe, dulling the blades and softening the tone. "My apologies. I'll just stay here, but playing more calming music. Maybe an acoustic/harp (and he actually said the slash) duet is in order? I don't know."

IC: Fang - Visorak Jungle (Team Backstab)

 

Fang turned away and searched the ruins for any sign of injured Rahkshi. Exxan's sincere warning to Kat was bringing back more of that hatred.

 

He didn't see anyone beyond the horde of Visorak that was far too close for comfort. "Let's go then," he snarled. He folded up and started flying over the jungle, not even turning back as Kat slashed with both his and Exxan's blades. It didn't seem right.

 

 

IC: Char - Hallways

 

Char sighed and walked back to the others clustered around the sealed doorway. Her eyes were wide and curious.

 

Of course, it would be easy to blow it down with my flare guns, but something tells me that wouldn't go over too well with this crowd.

 

She eyed the vent, debating on whether her small form could fit into it. At last she shook her head and turned back to the others. "I knew a shapeshifter once," she sighed. "Don't know where he got to though."

 

Given time, I could talk him out... if the brute even spoke our language. Why do things have to be so Karzin' difficult?

Vaalku softly facepalmed, considering he was holding a crescent of solid metal in his hand.

 

"Look, perhaps you would feel more at home in the gym. They have some targets there you can beat the karz out of."

Vitesse sighed. Of course there were no shapeshifters anybody knew. "Anybody know somebody who can teleport? That could work."

"Not to be rude, but I think I'll stay here. I've sated my taste for wanton violence and trolling for today. For now, I need to cool down. Breaking the fourth wall takes a lot of energy out of you." 

 

Hey, Dakilik? Hey, this is the narrator? Yeah, in the Student Register, people were complaining about that, so your fourth wall breaking privileges have been revoked.

IC: Deadeye

"He's so...different now." Deadeye said, looking at Poly. He turned round to the new meal student.  "Are you new here?"

[Wyrd Bid Ful Araed]

IC: "I have a feeling your task may be to stop the others from trying to kill each other," Palma answered Mortsia with a sigh. "Now if you could get the patient out of here sometime soon, I would appreciate it."

 

 

IC: Fang was right. The Visorak were coming. Their queen's flight had left them behind, but they were swiftly catching up, and it would be a fair bet that they wouldn't be happy. Their grating ululations were all the sound that could be heard in the jungle.

The crippled queen screamed as Kat's blow struck deep and true. But it still had enough strength, powered by spite, to use its remaining legs to shove itself sideways, slamming its armoured carapace into to insect that dared to hurt it! The Kahgarak powered into Kat with the sort of force you only got with high-grade construction equipment, a steamroller or gold and blue. It drove the swords deeper into its eye, but with all the fear, anger and pain it no longer cared. Reason was beyond it

 

 

 

 

IC: "I mean that there are two ways to make things go easier in Malebranche. You can make things slide along with oil, or just apply  little gold in the right place." Grossh smiled, the crooked mask on his doing its best to mimic the movements on a face it wasn't designed to fit, "Which is handy for me, because I do have quite a talent with gold." To the others this probably went without saying. His home-made auric armour declared his passion for the material to everyone...except of course the sightless Hoto

IC: Xara - Infirmary.

 

"Let's go," I hissed, irritated that I now had a second rahk to babysit. "You two can bicker among yourselves to get the privilege of carrying the Matoran, I'll go make sure the hallway's clear."

IC: Exxan - Jungle.

 

"Karz!" I jumped back away from the Kahgarak's flailing limbs. One of them smashed through a tree, sending it crashing down in front of me. Why couldn't Kat have left it alone? We'd already beaten it, and she'd kept on going after it... I forced myself to focus on the present. I could play the blame game later. 

 

"Find Kat!" I shouted to Fang through the branches, "We need to get out of here!" 

[Kovika: Visorak Lord]

IC: Sidonas - Visorak

"Gah!" Sidonas was slightly startled by the flailing limbs of the Kahgarak. He turned to Exxan, who had just yelled to Fang. "I'll help him. See if anyone needs to be carried. Let's go!" Sidonas entered flight mode and went in the direction that Fang travelled, scanning around to see if he could see Kat on the way to catch up to the Rahk ahead of him.

IC: Sanu

Sanu was crawling behind Alpha and Punch.

 

IC: Blade

"No, You are leaving the Library now, whether by force or not." Blade said to (Dakilik).

Good job! now if he says no, KILL HIM RIGHT IN THE FACE!
