Kale Ironshaper- Team Tarakava

IC: With a nod to Hound Kale activated his mask and took off. It was not an ideal solution, Their telepath was currently in the skies and would probably be unable to effectively act as a network hub. Which meant that having all three leaders out and running around the battlefield made organization that much harder. This was a battlefield though, there was no way that things were going to go perfectly according to plan.

For a second the white and grey Toa was nothing more than a blur as he ran towards the nearest building, continuing for another two or three steps up the wall before starting to push off of the exterior window sills. Once he reached the top, Kale narrowed his eyes as he stepped to the center of the roof. His armor shifted subtly while he did so, the plates becoming less curved and more angled so as to better deflect incoming projectiles from the front.

Settling on one knee the Av-Toa raised his hands, arms outstretched, fingers forming a diamond. The light around him shimmered for a second as it started bending, rending him invisible to almost anything that used optical sensors for detection. His breath slowed as the space in the diamond between his fingers suddenly magnified, zooming in on the skies above. It seemed that most of the enemies had fallen even while he had figured out a plan with Hound and Olari.

I must be slipping.

The most obvious target left was the other dragon on the opposing team. He was rather outnumbered now. Even so Kale had no intention of going easy.

The diamond centered on Okavaung's center of mass.

Breath out.

A high powered laser brightened the dark air for a split second as it soared towards its prey.

IC: Prose/Locker Rooms

I woke up. Mentally punching myself for failing to recognize a foe behind me, I stood up and checked myself. Fine like always. I decided to wait around until Kuro and Daltrahk came back. Then we would go on that gem hunt.

IC: Maglev/Locker Rooms ---> Halls

That hurt. I woke up feeling like I was recently in a meat grinder. Every part of my body hurt. I looked up and saw my teammate.

"How'd you die?"

I told him, and he used his power on me to invigorate me a little. After a while, I spoke.

"Thanks."

"Don't mention it. Last thing I could do for a teammate."

I left the room.

IC - Okavaung (Mahri Nui, Team Muaka):

Okavaung, despite his enormous size, was not easily hit. Being locked in aerial combat with another dragon, he was moving through the air unpredictably; as a result, the laser missed his center of mass, lighting up the sky as it pierced the frost dragon's left leg. Before the roar of pain that escaped from his mouth ended, his mind was screaming along the trajectory of the laser, searching for the interloper that had scorched his scales and burned his flesh. Though Kale could hide his body, he could not hide his mental signature; the Sohllikan disengaged from his master and friend, diverting the fullness of his attention towards the Av-Toa, who would feel the alien presence of Okavaung attempting to project a black wall of nothingness into his sense of sight. Meanwhile, the dragon banked to his right, before heading into a dive towards his new opponent.

IC - Aclaraung, Tarakava:

The issue inherent with this line of attack Okavaung pursued was that it left him undefended against Aclaraung, who was currently behind him. Aclaraung turned and began to follow Okavaung, starting to overtake the smaller dragon as he furled his wings, rapidly shooting forwards.

"You always were the sword, Okavaung, not the shield. A pity you have to reveal that here as well," Aclaraung sent as a quick mental message.

At the last moment before he may have barrelled into Okavaung, Aclaraung unfurled his wings, flapping rapidly to stop his movement and buffeting the frost dragon with air. As he did so, he released a powerful blast of flame to burn the frost dragons back, while trying to rake at Okavaung's haunches with his legs.

"I'm in," I answered Hound, starting to move after him. "I haven't fought yet today, I'm still in tip top shape."

IC: Riss shrugged off the comment about her ears bleeding, then paused to look closer at Anna for a second. She took a good long look, then grinned and said, "A glatorian! I've never met any of you in person before, but I get aaaaaaaa~ll sorts of letters from BAAAA~RAAAAA~ MAAAA~GNAAAAA~!" She held out her hand with a grin, and said, "Sunburst! Nice to meet you, Sparky!"

Anna giggled, and shook Riss's hand with a grin of her own. "And nice to meet you, Starburst!" Anna said, as she nodded to Zangah about the nickname, and then paused, as she heard about heading out. "I've only shot off that one lightning bolt earlier; I should be good." The Glatorian said with a nod, before she paused, and looked back to Riss. "... What's Bara Magna?" Anna asked curiously, as she hadn't truly heard much of that name before.

Kale Ironshaper- Team Tarakava

IC: It seemed that this one was also a telepath, a rather powerful one as the mental attack forced Kale to divert some of his attention away from his veil and into his mental defenses. Nonetheless he kept a cool head, he was still out of the dragon's breath attack (assuming he had one) and even if it did it had a high chance of turning out to be useful.

No longer needing the makeshift scope with the dragon now much closer, Kale's hands separated and he stood. A thought created a trio of vaguely humanoid bundles of light on either side of him that with another exertion of will, burst toward towards the flying beast before him.

One was heading for the head while the other two flew towards the wings.

IC - Okavaung (Mahri Nui, Team Muaka):

Contrary to Aclaraung's thoughts, Okavaung had not completely forgotten his larger relative. Although he had been hoping to not have to deal with both threats at once, it seemed that his master was simply too quick for the frost dragon to be able to strike at Kale without first being bathed in flame. When Aclaraung unfurled his wings, Okavaung simultaneously furled his left one. The right wing he left out, causing him to turn quickly through the air. As the other dragon breathed fire at him, it caught the edge of his wing, the napalm-like substance clinging to the leathery flesh and delivering an extended burn. Okavaung's front side now aimed back at Aclaraung, he breathed a jet of frost toward his underbelly.

Kale's attacked was fired, perhaps with poor discretion, just as Okavaung executed this maneuver. The masses of light were now headed towards Aclaraung even more than they were Okavaung. He attempted to beat his wings as the turn was completed, in order to give himself height and move his right wing out of the path of the oncoming projectiles, but was too late; one impacted the vulnerable limb, leaving him with roughly 2/3 of a wing on that side. That it was no longer on fire was little consolation.

IC:

All things considered, being plucked from one's plane of origin and brought to a realm of artificial construction and population is not high on one's list of expected events. Uri Soken, in that regard, was no different. His disorientation upon awaking from his unnaturally induced state of unconsciousness faded quickly; his eyes panned about the room, filing away every detail he could see. The explanation for his situation was delivered by a party quickly identifying himself as "the Host", and this "Host" gave name to the situation within which he found himself. Bionifight. A tournament run by this Host and his compatriots and peopled with fighters taken from every part of this vast multiverse. All brought here, to this one point in space and time, to compete for the amusement of their hosts.

Interesting.

The Re-Toa was not helping himself by staying within his area of arrival, however, and he departed from the room as soon as he had ascertained that his belongings had come with him. His supplies were gone, he noted to his displeasure, but all of his weaponry had made the voyage. He walked through the halls calmly, but alert for any potential threats. He flexed his mental muscles a little, summoning a small sphere of energy in his hand and moving it about his palm. That his powers remained intact ensured that he was very far from defenseless, though he had to admit that so many origins for combatants meant that it was entirely possible that he would have no knowledge of their capabilities. Though they would not know his either.

Through his wanderings he kept the wall on his right, searching for a major pathway to remove him from his initial surroundings. After a few moments he took a right down a large hallway, one with every sign of being a major artery for traffic. The Host had delivered much information, but it would have been helpful if a general layout of this Arena facility had also been given. As it stood Uri would simply have to navigate as best he could.

Fortunately, his tactics seemed to have delivered him to a sort of commercial sector. He could smell cooking food, and hear the quiet conversation of those consuming it.

As good a place as any to start, he supposed.

OOC: Uri is now officially open for interaction.

"Clever, child."

Aclaraung maintained his fiery breath, now directing it towards Okavaung's, the two attacks colliding in the air and serving to cancel each other out, cryogenic and thermogenic. As he did so he dropped further, now reaching out to grasp Okavaung's belly with his clawed legs, gliding along with the currently upside-down frost dragon. If he succeeded at his grasp, he would then reach to tear out Okavaung's neck. If not...the building tops weren't that far away.

Aclaraung merely had to keep Okavaung upside down, and the frost dragon would suffer a broken spine.

IC: "Because if I were to speak any other language I don't think you'd understand me." Venga could feel the tension on Kaipatu's grip through the sword, the blade quivering slightly with the effort. In response he tensed his own muscles, ready to duck. Normally not a valid tactic for someone his size, but even a Rahkshi was dwarfed by this one.

"Would you prefer I spoke Skakdi?"

IC: Tuyetkhamun scanned the food court, looking for a free spot. The place was mostly empty given the fight currently occupying most of the fighters, so she had her pick of the seats. Selecting a table, she sat down, and looked back at Arkrax.

"Now, bring me something to eat."

IC: (Jorth, Team Muaka)

"Yeah, I was tempted to do something unpleasant to him, but I had a feeling that might have started some mass inner-team conflict." He headed up a spiralling staircase that led to the rooftops of Fort Jorth, "And the last thing we needed was a civil war given we already have a team to fight."

He stepped out onto the rooftops, bathed in the shifting light patterns coming down from the bubble up above. But that view made him feel like he was upside-down, so he stuck to keeping on eye on the streets for anyone trying to get past his walls of meat

IC: (Olari, Team Tarakava)

One dragon was down. The odd-looking Toa was down. The Rahkshi was down. That just left the last dragon. The Muaka attack force had been mostly finished off without even a single Tarakava casualty. Given that Ismekne had been rescued from defeat, you could even consider Tarakava up one member. It was impressive work.

She pulled the same trick on Okavaung as she had on A.D. by magnetising his wings. It should make them stick and cloy to his body, making it harder for him to stay airborne or manoeuvre himself in the air. And with Aclaraung driving him down towards the rooftops, that could well be a death sentence

IC(Ismekne): As the building Ismekne stood on crumbled, the fighter made a small leap off of it to the inside of the Tarakava fortifications, away from Ferronox. She allowed her hammer to rest by her side, and walked up to where Feli Glinshimmer and someone else was standing. "Does anyone have healing powers around here? I have a couple of ripped muscles that need repaired."

IC(A.D.): A.D. woke up in the medbay. His wing was healed, as were his back and legs. It was almost as if each trip to the arena was a bad dream, which, upon waking up, nothing had ever happened.

He sighed. He didn't want to think about this becoming part of his nightmares. He still felt a little tired. Furling his wings, he stepped out into the hall, wishing that a tunnel to an Infinite Gem would suddenly appear. As much of a fruitless hope as that was likely to be.

IC: Arkrax - Commercial Sector

A... less serviceable being might have outright refused. He was more than just a collection of information. He may not have a physical form any longer, but that did not mean he was lacking a personality.

Fortunately for her, that personality was especially serviceable. Arkrax gave a quick nod and buzzed off to find something the mummy might like. What do other beings enjoy digesting? What do undead beings enjoy digesting?

He selected a peculiar, round dish of many colors and turned his form solid to carry it back. Hopefully... whatever it was was sufficient.

Kale Ironshaper- Team Tarakava

IC: If only it was as simple as an explosion. The construct that impact into the Dragon's wing morphed into a tangle of hardlight razor-wire. Razor-wire that then proceeded to work it's way around the wing and start flailing, slicing through the thin wing membrane. If it stayed there long enough the entire wing would come off.

The other two constructs turned in midair to follow Oavaung, still heading for the head and the other wing.

These were the current culmination of Kale's work in elemental theory and the manipulation thereof. Highly fluid elemental constructs that could change from simple photon illusions to hardlight blades and everything in between. If there was one thing that being kidnapped and brought here did, it was to provide him with a rather large amount of targets to test his ideas on.

"Unless they specialise in area-of-effect, I should be able to take out ranged combatants," Hound processed the information Zangah supplied with little apparent emotion, his expression remaining phlegmatically grave. "Assuming they don't have a massive range advantage, that is." When Halken spoke, Hound nodded in understanding, thinking of additions to the suggestion. "If we run across anyone we don't think we can handle directly, retreat and make a show of it. I'll be yelling run. Like you said, set up an ambush; just make sure that they believe that they've got the advantage." Turning his head to glance at Mirror, Hound spoke with almost disconcerting calm, every word delivered with a great serenity that was dissonant with the situation at hand. IC - Okavaung (Mahri Nui, Team Muaka):

Okavaung took stock of his current situation.

He was currently flying upside-down, a larger dragon desperately trying to crash him into buildings he had been diving towards by preventing him from turning back over. Additionally, some sort of light construct he was quite unfamiliar with was eating his right wing, while the thankfully few metallic parts of that wing and the other were seemingly being magnetized to his torso. Two more of that irritating light projectile that had missed him before were now turning around and heading back towards him.

Presently, he was sailing over and past Kale, his original target.

Sure that such a complex attack as the one that currently assailed his wing could not possibly be self-sustaining, but rather actively maintained, he curled his arms in such a way as to give his wings more surface area against the air as he fell, and braced his legs against Aclaraung's as they kicked towards his underbelly. His left leg, the injured one, protested as he craned his neck inwards, forming himself into one huge ball. The Royal Star's massive forwardly-applied force was transferred to the Sword, whose decent was slowed by his wings, in the form of spin, righting his orientation by flipping him end-over-end. When he was facing the right way again, he unfurled his mostly-organic wings once more, though still somewhat impeded in the act by the magnetism that had been added to them. Furiously beating the 75% or so that remained of his wings, he managed to greatly lessen his impact, slamming into a rooftop with force that, while by no means comfortable, did not seem to injure him. Thanks to Selaphiel's intervention, the roof he landed on didn't crumble under the force of his landing, as he had expected it to. This left him just in range of the irritating Av-Toa that had interfered earlier.

Taking advantage of the time Aclaraung would need to respond to this, all things considered, beautifully-executed maneuver, and turn around, Okavaung breathed a jet of frost at Kale, who was likely quite surprised. The other two constructs from earlier were nearing him, but he was gambling on them disappearing with the breaking of their caster's focus. At worst, he could try to take the Av-Toa out with him.

Huntress saw something flying at her and quickly hid.  Than she stepped out and fired a wide volley into the alley, trying to draw her opponent out.

IC: The Wyrm - Team Muaka.

But The Wyrm was no longer in the alleyway. Not in the part Huntress was aiming at, anyway. The instant after he'd opened fire he'd holstered his Rhotuka and started scrambling up the nearest wall, his chameleon powers rendering him almost impossible to see in the long shadows of the alley.

As the darts tore through, he kicked off the wall and jumped towards his opponent, drawing his sword from across his back and swinging it down towards Venom Huntress. With the blade's own abilities and his camouflage powers, there'd be nothing visible of him but a flash of motion, a flickering shadow....

...his opponent wouldn't know what had hit her until it was too late.

Viitka was right, they were not nearly close enough to their starting point to be still this long and stay safe. Well, if their team had even fortified their starting area. She regretted having been separated so quickly from them by the threat of the bubble-popper. A lot of the people in this tournament seemed to be lone wolves, unable to or lacking knowledge about fighting as a coordinated team.

"You're right, Viikta." Her Kadin glowed softly as she became airborne once more. It would be easy enough to spot threats on the ground. While she had felt comfortable letting Emiya speak with Viitka unbidden, she had not seen the titan in armor before this match, and did not want to be rude and risk damaging relations.

"Armored one, my greatbow," she raised the weapon slightly. "Is possessed of a mind and can communicate telepathically with myself and others, I can keep you in contact with us in the air if you are comfortable with it."

Kale Ironshaper- Team Tarakava

IC: It is somewhat hard to be a surprise when the being attempting it is a decent sized dragon. Kale had known that Okavaung was going to land near him and that chances were it would still be combat capable. As such he was already moving by the time the beast tried to turn it's breath on him.

A quick use of his mask caused him to all but vanish even as Okavaung turned, and while the icy breath froze the spot he had been prior, Kale was next to the larger being's neck. In his hand was a metal blade edged with light. Being small constructs and staying in very close proximity to the Toa of Light, Kale was capable of sharpening them to an extreme degree. It may not have been able to cut through everything in the universe, but it was a rare suit of armor that could stay his blade.

With barely a sound, Kale swept the blade down from over his head at a spot roughly a third up Okavaung's neck.

OOC: The blow has not actually hit but if it does it will cause some serious damage. The two other light thingies have frozen a couple yards away and are currently nothing more than balls of glow.
