I'm not staff, but I'm pretty sure you're not going to be allowed a character who has 46 powers.

Well, due to the weapon limit removal, a character could have 46 weapons which could have powers, meaning that it could still be a valid point.

Eeeeexcept that's a completely false equivalency.

New weapons can be gained by taking them from the fallen or crafting them; not something you get automatically due to the change in setting. Moreover, a being cannot feasibly carry, let alone wield, forty six weapons.

Powers? That's a whole different story. And that story is an automatic, instantaneous power boost by 1500.3333%.

Name: Scriva.

Species: Toa.

Faction: Prisoner.

Power/Weapon 1/2: The Power of the Written Word – this power allows Scriva to make any piece of written prose – so long as it consists of at least three sentences of decent length – to come true. This power has several limitations:

  • If the user wishes to effect an object/person, the prose must be written on them, or an object in direct contact with them.
  • The power cannot be used to directly cause harm to another, but can be used to heal, if the person is willing.
  • The power cannot be used to summon objects from nowhere, or bestow new powers upon people, but can be used to provide temporary boosts, which weaken the object/person once they wear off.
  • The user is unable to apply the power directly to themselves, only to other people or things.

Power/Weapon 3: The Pen is Mightier than the Sword – at first glance, it looks like a perfectly ordinary ballpoint pen. However, when the top part of the pen is twisted a certain way and the pen clicked, a thin, stiletto-like blade springs forth.

Appearance: Clad in the blue and gold of a Ce-Toa, she wears a tattered, threadbare grey cloak and gloves over her armour, to help cover up the severe scarring left by her near-death in a fire long ago. Damage to her voice-box caused by that same fire has left her unable to speak in much above a harsh, rasping whisper without hurting herself.

Bio: Imprisoned in the Ga-Metru Asylum for no justified reason, she helped the other patients overthrow the corrupt wardens and doctors, and aided in the defeat of the monster that had been plaguing the facility. But as the inmates began to celebrate their newfound freedom, the Vapautti Sielu invaded, and she was imprisoned once more.

Personality/Other: Scriva mostly keeps to herself, and tries to avoid attracting unwanted attention. She is quiet, shy and observant, making note of the comings and goings of other in a small notebook she keeps on her person. She’s desperate to escape her prison, and the recent Landfall of the Bionifight facility may provide an opportunity for her to do exactly that…

Oh, yay. Another person who is going to hate Dayeth...

Her and Ravyn should form a club. Maybe it can also become the new character fad for awhile.

Nope, not going to do it...

Not going to do it...

No way...

Oh, to Karz with it all. Meet Makuta Snese, my first and only Skype character and Cultist.

Name: Snese

Species: Makuta

Faction: Vapautti Sielu (under Vitsaus)

Power/Weapon 1: Instead of the typical Antidermis Makuta composition, Snese is made up of a gaseous cloud of literal viruses. Through a manipulation of the Element of Plague, he can reconfigure this cloud to a variety of symptoms, including drowsiness, slowness, weakness, nausea, decay, and contagion, and then use it to infect others. Curiously, the virus seems to grow darker with the severity of the effect, with drowsiness being a light greenish-yellow to the near-black of impending death. The more severe symptoms use more of his essence and require physical contact, and if he uses this ability too rapidly without waiting for himself to regenerate, he can run out of virus and die.

Power/Weapon 2: Elemental Shadow. Though his skills in Shadow Hands and other constructs are lacking, Snese is incredibly skilled in the art of Shadow Teleportation. He is able to travel to any place within the range of his vision, and often places that are not (with which he is familiar), in the blink of an eye. He also maintains the simple skill of shadow bolts.

Power/Weapon 3: A long, twisted dagger of an ancient black metal, covered in glowing green markings. The actual blade is powerless, however, though it is very sharp and good at piercing armor. Especially back armor.

Appearance: One does not need a dose of nausea to feel sickened at Snese’s approach. Perhaps it is the overly wide Skakdi grin, bristling with needle-like teeth. Or perhaps the long, delicate spines which roughly resemble syringes. Or it could be his missing lower half, replaced with only a trail of greenish virus. The most likely reason would be his transparent skin, the muscles and armor that do little to cover the revolting blend of half-formed (or half-decayed) organs and skeleton and Antidermis-like disease. It’s almost believable that he actually enjoys the horrific reactions to his appearance. His beady eyes gleam and his grin seems to widen to an impossible size every time he sends Matoran running off, screaming.

Bio: Snese was once a wise and prudent leader of Matoran and Toa alike. Many traveled great distances to hear his counsel, and he was known for fairness and equality. But there was one small stain on his character, one that would overcome him in time and turn him into a monster. Snese feared death. He abhorred the slightest thought of dying, and any who dared mention it were cast from his presence. Despite his many attempts to subvert it, he was as mortal as any other.
The collapse of his kingdom at the hands of the Vapautti Sielu failed to destroy him. His long stay in the Muaka’s Den could not break him. But at the news that he was suffering from an incurable disease, Snese lost all dignity and courage and plead to the Herald of Plague to save him by any means necessary. She took his vows of loyalty, and in return gave him what she could: a never-ending death, a pause in the disease’s progression. Over time, pain drove him mad. His once glorious body flaked away, leaving only the barest shell of his upper half. The disease overcame him, but he learned to control it. His slightest touch could spread it or countless other symptoms to others at the word of his Lady.

Personality: Snese is the lowest kind of scum, and he knows that perfectly well. In fact, he seems to glorify in the fact, and becomes even more sadistic for it. But he prefers… subtler means of expression. Less pain and agony, more discomfort and sickness. His boisterous personality and lack of understanding of personal space conflicts strongly with his soft voice. And he seems to be all the more menacing for it.

After quite a lot of thought, I have finished the first (might be last, haven't decided) character update. After all, don't shounen heroes usually get their upgrades during a new season? :P

“I was asleep. Lulled into complacency by a soulless construct, a neverending cycle of karma’s will. My heartbeat slowed.”

“I am awake now. My blood pumps, my heart sings, my very soul burns with the rememberance of its purpose. I am a patient man. But those who awoke my will, and reminded me soul of its nature, will find their fate inescapable.”

“I have broken karma’s cycle. I am the sword of justice, and the shield of the helpless. They have reminded me.”

“I am indomitable.”

Name: Zangah Sentoki

Species: Toa

Power/Weapon 1: Warrior’s Resolve; Zangah’s ability is to negate any hostile powers that would affect him directly. This ability is passive; so long as it is possible for it to be active, it will be. A Toa’s element will not reach him, nor will their Mask, nor will the effects of any other power. This ability possesses two drawbacks, however; firstly, it has permanently sealed access to his own innate element and ability to use Kanohi. Secondly, it does not extend to the area immediately around him. An Onu-Toa targeting the ground, or a Ga-Toa targeting the water will still be effective until such a time as their construct turns against him directly. A solid construct, such as an ice spike, will not be negated as its continued existence is not reliant on continued energy, nor is its effect direct. A Ce-Toa ‘s constructs would be negated, as though they have aspects of a solid, they are physical energy. The collapse of the limiters installed by the Infinite System seem to have restored his defense against Psionic Abilities.

Power/Weapon 2: Warrior’s Resolve: Unchained; The same process used to fuel Zangah’s negation cuts off the release of his elemental energy, causing a massive pool of strength to build up very rapidly. With no way out, it simply builds, and builds, and builds. With the right trigger, that energy can be released. Warrior’s Resolve is severely weakened while Zangah’s power is unchained, but the tradeoff is more than worth it. The Toa’s armor turns a deep crimson, accented by touches of scarlet and wreathed in a spectral flame the same color as his eyes. His eyes blaze with green power. The flames burn to the touch for any that oppose him, though allies find they hold no fear at all, and they can be channeled through his hands or weapons as burning blasts.

This is but a side effect, however, of the true nature of the release. The visible energy is runoff, a side effect of the unbridled energy. The brunt of it is directed towards Zangah’s muscles, able to boost either strength or speed to near-Kanohi levels individually, or slightly above Calix levels at the same time.

While all of these effects can be activated by thought, they are only at full potency when a phrase is used as a focuser. Warrior’s Resolve: Unchained itself can only be activated in dire circumstances or with a powerful enough emotional trigger. The Calix level boosts are present the entire time this state is active, but full boosts to strength or speed must be intentionally activated.

Warrior’s Resolve: Unchained can only last until his reservoir of power runs low, limiting its continuous operating time to less than ten minutes. After it ends, Warrior’s Resolve takes several minutes to charge up to its normal passive state again.

Power/Weapon 3: A classical long sword, with a twist; the spine conceals a gunblade with a one shot chamber in the hilt. It can be triggered with a subtle mechanism on the handle, but must be manually reloaded afterwards. It is sheathed at his right.

Power/Weapon 4 (Taken from Damaka): Dragonslayer: An immense, spiritually bound Greatsword to end all Greatswords, source of both constant misfortune and continued victory. Despite it's massive size and weight, Zangah wields it comfortably. Interestingly, the blade seems to be especially resistant to magical and elemental effects, a sort of supernatural bypass that can shield from a bolt of lightning or indeed smash through a weaker forcefield. The sword seems to refuse to recognize its previous owner as deceased, and thus has failed to transfer its denial of fate to Zangah, but seems to recognize the Toa as a kindred spirit with its former owner, and permits him its use.

Appearance: Slightly taller than average for his species, Zangah cuts a heroic figure. His build is muscled, though far from muscle builder territory, and his green eyes gleam with a spirited light. One of the first things to be recognized is the well-crafted, though clearly well-used, muted crimson cape clasped around his neck. Its clasp is carefully designed to detach with excessive force, preventing an opponent from using it against him. His armor is pure silver with gunmetal highlights, notably defied by his crimson gauntlets and shoulderguards. His (powerless) Kanohi Arthron lacks the breathing apparatus commonly seen upon it, and is colored a more muted version of his armor. Since Landfall, in addition to the Dragonslayer, Zangah has obtained a white and red scarf perpetually worn around his neck.

Bio: Zangah hails from a world where Toa are no more. Not as they once were, at least. The Brotherhood of Makuta won its war through traditional means after the Great Cataclysm through means of lightning-fast strikes poised at the universe’s most critical points. The greatest Toa Teams fell almost instantly, the survivors forced onto the run. The Metru failed to prevent Teridax’s departure from Metru Nui, and the Mata… Simply never arrived. No one is certain whether they were defeated too quickly to be found, or if their return was sabotaged. Few care, at this point.

Within a decade the Brotherhood had conquered all major population centers and instituted their own rule. Through capture, and control, of the remaining Toa population, the Brotherhood ensured that only Toa allied with their cause could be created. Mata Nui’s greatest weapon turned to his most formidable foe.

The world, however, was not without hope. Heroes, lesser villains, beings of all kinds fled to the unknown parts of the world, the inhospitable places. Resistance movements, aided by the Order’s remnants, entrenched themselves. Guerilla tactics and strategy made the Brotherhood’s assault on these positions costly. But not impossible.

With powers of all kinds on their enemy’s side, the resistance needed an edge. And when the darkest hour seemed to have come…

It came.

Dredged up from a long forgotten ruin, the creators of whom remain unknown, they found a way to negate their enemy’s advantage… At the cost of their own powers. Any who underwent the procedure lost their ability to use their own abilities, but gained the ability to negate their foes. With this technique the counterattack began in earnest. Toa and Makuta alike found themselves unable to strike their foes, forced to fight hand to hand in a way they had not for millennia. They were pushed back farther, and farther, until they finally found their footing. But the Brotherhood’s legions were endless, and their capacity to adapt limitless. They fought back, but their advantage was not as great as it had once been.

Toa had become a word for the enemy, but a hero had arisen in their place. These warriors were not common, but they were a new symbol. An era of warriors willing to fight with their own hands to protect those under their charge.

It was this mantle that Zangah took up. His transformation granted by a dying hero, and his sacrifice of his powers of his own volition soon after, he took it upon himself to be the greatest protector he could be. He traveled to the front lines, and it was there he crafted his legend. A warrior to face down the forces of darkness, to face down the corrupted heroes. His skills in personal combat are impressive, born of years of experience and training, as he has never had an element or power to fall back on.

An indomitable protector, with unfathomable resolve.

Personality/Other: Cheerful, most of the time. One might go so far as to say dauntless. Zangah is a very friendly figure, and not one with any particular inclination to fight. Not for himself. Underneath it all, however, is a resolve stronger than any other; Zangah is a protector of the helpless, and a deep seated hatred for oppressors. His ire is not directed towards the Brotherhood or its minions specifically, his foes were long since unidentifiable by species or alignment, but to any who would strike at those weaker than them without cause. His desire is to return home, but injustice… Injustice is universal. So must be his opposition.

Changes are underlined. In addition to picking up a weapon from the fallen Damaka (cleared by Raz, and allowed by the ruling on picking up weapons), I have boosted Warrior’s Resolve to levels comparable to the current status of such negaters, and traded his gauntlet for a second power. To clarify, Warrior’s Resolve: Unchained is, in large part, aesthetic. Its actual powers are to permit the firing of the blasts of energy, or use them as aura around a close combat attack, and to provide a continuous Calix level boost or a Kanohi equivalent boost to speed or strength.

A proper boost to speed or strength can only be applied to one or the other. At the same time, using this ability reduces Warrior’s Resolve’s negation to negligible levels, essentially making Unchained take up two slots as long as it is active.

Question: Are the power limiters still in place? (I.e. Most of the Kraata Powers being blocked for Makuta) And if they aren't, does that mean Miras has full access to all of his powers?

No.

The limiters are still in place, and in fact, are actually stuck on because of the Facility's crash, because there's no way to remove the limits with it broken.

(On that note, sorry about that, Hughes. =/ I could see him growing more proficient even through that... But this is kinda why it's necessary. Rest of the edits look good, though)

Changes to Tomo:

Name: Tomo

Species: Melding Universe Makuta

Faction: Bionifight

Power/Weapon 1: Level 6 Quick Healing. She can only heal others with this ability.

Power/Weapon 2: Level 6 Shapeshifting. She has learned how to change her total body mass.

Power/Weapon 3: Level 6 Elasticity.

Appearance: in the wake of the Landfall, Tomo has assumed a different default appearance, taking the form of a vortex supported by a ghostly, black humanoid body. She will assume her Av-Matoran form when piloting the Velika's Vision.

Bio: Tomo was one of the Makuta of the Melding Alternate Universe, trained to cast out her inner shadow and accept the light. She acted as a warrior for the Great Beings, assisting the Toa and Matoran in their maintenance efforts, and overall helping maintain society. During an interdimensional trip in which Rubakuta was escorting some of her Great Being masters as they went about their business, she witnessed the great Bionifight tournament, and she wanted in. So eventually, she got in, and here she is.

Personality/Other: the events of the Landfall and the subsequent happenings on Saarella Kirotu have sobered up Tomo quite a bit. She seems to be constantly on edge, ready to snap at any moment. Gone is her mirth and her energy, replaced with an overbearing sense of urgency and a barely-contained rage.

Curiously, these events have shaken up Tomo so much that she has lost her inner light alignment, reverting back to a balanced amount of light and shadow. As a result, she has started to emulate the traits of the Shadow Makuta of many other universes (though she isn't as far gone as to totally banish her light just yet).

K cool.

So here's a cultist.

Name: Frostbite

Species: Mutated Bipedal Takea Shark

Faction: Vapautti Sielu

Power/Weapon 1: Bone-Mail Plate - Bone laced within chain mail. The bones are very dense and comes from a Muaka. Since he is "blessed" by the god he serves, the Bone-Mail Plate has become like an exoskeleton. He often likes to wear skulls for helmets or shoulder pads.

Power/Weapon 2: Ice Fangs and Claws - His teeth and claws secrete some kind of liquid that is like liquid nitrogen when biting or cutting an opponent. Due to the fact that he is a shark, he has lots of teeth. His teeth and claws can be used to dig.

Power/Weapon 3: Bone Manipulation - Used to fire his teeth at opponents, as well as to regenerate and heal damaged bones. He also can manipulate the bones on his armor to protrude outward like spikes. He can also control a skeleton from a deceased body to use for tricks or battle.

Appearance: Think of Charger, that Kane-ra Dark Hunter. But he's blue, white, and black, hunched over like a Rahkshi, and has the head of a Takea Shark. He also wears bone-chain mail armor. His teeth is translucent blue.

Bio: When he was born/mutated, he ended up on the coast of small islands where he terrorized (and ate) the Matoran. He was eventually captured and put to work by the Shadowed One of his universe. He served as a Dark Hunter until he was teleported to serve Tuoni and Kuolema due to his love of killing and wearing of skulls. During his time before Landfall, he has often swam over to the Wailing Cliff collecting some dead folk for use if he needed a body. He is eager to challenge and attempt to kill the fighters of Bionifight in the name of his god.

Personality/Other: He refers to himself as a male. He enjoys killing and most importantly loves bones. How they work...how they are made...and how they break. He also likes to drink milk with the occasional cookie to keep his own bones (both on the outside and inside) strong.

Frostbite Approved.

I'm hoping the Host will reveal what systems need repaired soon. Ganesh will want to help with that.

Name: Samantha
Species: Hoi Turtle
Gender: Female
Faction: Prisoner
Power/Weapon 1: Thick outer shell which resists the efforts of sharp objects such as swords. Can be used to slam into others, but not without damage to itself. Can be shattered if it sustains enough force, which is a serious injury that can be fatal.
Power/Weapon 2: As typical of all Hoi Turtles, Sam can fly. In fact this is her primary way of getting around usually.
Power/Weapon 3: Pakari - level strength.

Bio: Samantha was an ordinary Hoi Turtle on the Island of Mata Nui in a dimension where Makuta was chained to the floor of Aqua Magna by some other evil bad guys, which resulted in a massive flood that killed everyone in that dimension. Except for the ones killed or captured by the invading cultists. Probably death was better.

Personality/Other: Sam is actually somewhat shy, much preferring to hang out in her shell rather than seek combat. Or torture.

Not sure where I would start this PC out, but I'd think this would work OK somewhere.

Samantha Not Approved. There is no indication of intelligence or an ability to communicate, making her imprisonment by the cult questionable, considering she'd be seen as a food source, not a combatant.

Name: Zvuk Voyny

Species: Tahtorak Cultist

Faction: Vapautti Sielu (under Sota)

Power/Weapon 1: Skin of the God of War: Zvuk is heavily armoured, his armour covering nearly all of his body, except for important joints where it could adversely impede movement, and is unnaturally integrated with his body. While it gleams like silver in the sunlight, upon closer examination one will find it to be composed moreso of a whiter metal, looking similar to sun-bleached bones. This is because Zvuk's armour was crafted from the skeleton of every other version of himself he had been able to purge from other universes. After having killed a version of himself, he would have their bones crafted into various plates of armour for him, and then those plates would be welded to the natural armour that Zvuk already posessed, or sewn to his skin, and ultimately it would grow to become a full part of him.

Power/Weapon 2: Stature of the Champion: As a Tahtorak, Zvuk is a highly intelligent being who is thirty feet tall - not a gargantuan like the Tahtorak of Metru Nui, however. With this great stature comes great strength; he can crush beings with jaws or paws if he so chooses, and a good swipe from his tail (discounting anything else he might do with other parts of his body) can take down a building.

Power/Weapon 3: Blessing of Sota: As a loyal follower of Sota, Zvuk has received a 'blessing' (more of an upgrade, really) from his supposed God (from other cultists, but hey, he got it for good service, it counts), that grants him a new power: specialized technological implants in the tips of the five feather-like frills on his head allow Zvuk to launch bolts of energy that are comprised of sheer pain. Via damaging and overriding the nervous system of the target wherever the bolt hits them, the energy forces the frayed nerves to send nothing but pain signals back to the target's brain. These bolts also do impart a level of physical force, able to potentially knock back those who are being hit by them, and also possibly used to facilitate environmental destruction. At lower levels this power is mainly a nuisance and a small distraction; at mid-levels it is dangerous, and will take time to heal (and as such will lessen the effectiveness of whoever was hit); and at the highest levels, it is deadly. At lower power levels, each implant is able to fire spontaneously, and quickly, one bolt coming from the tip of each frill in rapid succession, following wherever the focus of Zvuk's eyesight is. At the middle levels, the bolts originate from the space between each frill, where the now higher-power bolt is charged; this charging takes a small amount of time, and has a small amount of recoil on Zvuk. At the immediately lethal power levels, the bolt originates from just above Zvuk's forehead, taking more time to charge, and those bolts have much more significant recoil against him. Prolonged use at any power level will cause the implants to overheat, requiring cooldown before they can be used again. And, when the bolts are charging, this can be seen by the targets, if they are looking carefully, giving them time to get moving and dodge the attack. The time to charge varies from none at all for the lower power levels, a split second or two for the middling power levels, and four to five seconds for the highest power level.

Appearance: Zvuk Voyny is an impressive, imposing sight. Covered head to toe in armour crafted of metallic bone, he gleams almost blindingly in direct sunlight, and the clinking of his armour announces the presence of a Champion of Sota on the battlefield; he is not a stealthy fighter, but he doesn't have to be. His eyes are a deep, baleful, and pupil-less red colour, looking like rubies in his head. His teeth are long and sharp, as are his claws, though most fighters never see the teeth up close unless they're being ripped apart by them. And, beneath his armour, the presence of his significant musculature is still very noticeable.

Bio: Born a rather average Tahtorak on the island that was home to both his species and that of Keetongu, Zvuk was, from a young age, noticed to be a very violent young Tahtorak. His personality was cold and cunning and often did not reveal any anger whatsoever, but he fought with a tenacity more befitting of the enslaved, desperate Tahtorak on Zakaz...and even some of them thought his tendency for destruction to be frightening. Eventually when he was older he managed to escape to find whatever his own destiny would be, hijacking a boat to leave his island. Eventually he found his way to Stelt, where he tackled a man with an Olmak, and forced that man - on pain of death - to send Zvuk to another place, another world, another dimension - anywhere where he could truly find himself.

That man, thinking he had come up with a good method to make the young Tahtorak regret his actions, sent Zvuk to Saarella Kirottu. He could not have been more wrong.

Soon enough, Zvuk found himself a prisoner of the cult - and quite quickly after learning more about the cult, he found himself joining the specific portion of it that followed the war god, Sota, above all else, and Sota's Herald. He quickly rose through the ranks of that specific portion of the overall cult, and still tries to climb higher - to become Hevias's second in command, and ultimately, his inward desire - kept hidden from all others - is to become the new Herald of War.

And, an important note - soon after arriving, he led the cult back to his universe. His universe was promptly purged. The first person Zvuk killed? The man with the Olmak, who had thought to try and play a sick joke on Zvuk.

Personality/Other: Zvuk is cold and cunning, with a reptillian intelligence and the patience of an apex predator. He forms careful plans, and even when his plans go haywire he is able to adjust on the fly to continue with what he is doing, and is quite adaptable. Normally, his emotions are under complete lockdown - sometimes, however, a dreadful, terrible anger can find itself unleashed, the heritage of Zvuk's race, prompting him to go into a berserker rage terrible enough that entire cities have quaked beneath his anger before.

Zvuk Approved.

Kind of pushing the envelope with this profile...

Name: Ignika Fallen (I.F.)

Species: Kanohi Mask (with Toa body)

Faction: Vapautti Sielu (under Kurjuus)

Power/Weapon 1 and 2: Life manipulation. I.F. is capable of using its life-based powers to:

  • Drain/give life force to a living object (similar to Avsa + Reverse Avsa). I.F. can only use one "side" of this power at a time.
  • shapeshifting of other beings (NOTE: THIS REQUIRES THE SHAPESHIFTED PARTY'S EXPLICIT CONSENT. IT ALSO CANNOT GRANT INDIVIDUALS NEW POWERS; IT CAN ONLY CHANGE THEIR FORM. The changes from the shapeshifting will also revert in an hour's time.)
Power/Weapon 3: Skyboard (similar to Toa Ignika's but without blades; it's just a flying board)

Appearance: Basically a blue, black, and silver version of Toa Ignika (with a slightly different armor pattern). It usually wears a hooded robe to cover its own appearance. The mask on its face is usually a solid black color but will glow golden when it is using its powers.

Bio: I.F. was the Kanohi Ignika of a timeline where it was forced to wipe out all life in the Matoran Universe. This also being a timeline where it become Toa Ignika and gained the experiences of a mortal creature, it was very distraught by its own actions. When the mask was taken by Vapautti Sielu to Saarella Kirotu, it quickly took to the teachings of the cult, probably as a way to escape its own guilt. That guilt eventually caught up with it though(see Personality/Other), and it ended up attaching itself to the pathy of Misery. To this day, I.F. serves Kurjuus and the Herald, Masenna.

Personality/Other: ironically for a Mask of Life, I.F. is obsessed with death. It truly believes that to die is to be set free; yet it does not believe itself worthy of death; not out of cowardice, but out of a twisted guilt complex resulting from its purge of its universe (for some reason, I.F. is convinced that all those killed by it purge were not "set free" but are trapped in a sort of limbo; this causes it immense guilt). I.F. is also very melodramatic, being easily brought to tears and... Dramatic shouting (probably due to still being a child - or an adolescent at most - mentally).

I.F. has been heavily modified by Vapautti Sielu, having been heavily weakened. It won't leak life energy if damaged and its command over the power of life has been heavily weakened (restricted to the powers described in Power Slot 1+2)

I. F. Not Approved. Life manipulation feels too easily abused, especially given it could make any fighter into a giant monster.

Name: Thak

Species: Fe-Skakdi

Gender: Male

Faction: Prisoner

Power/Weapon 1: Thermal Vision

Power/Weapon 2: Big Bertha, a handheld cannon of curious make, it channels Thak's natural Iron Element to fire subsonic bolts of Iron in whichever manner Thak chooses; be it simple pellets or large chunks.

Power/weapon 3: A pair of Protosteel knuckle dusters with studs.

Bio: Thak came from a wasteland not unlike this one, where metal machines and eldritch terrors ruled.there he was a treasure hunter, seeking fortune and glory all his days.

Personality: greedy, boisterous and generally very Skakdi like. Good natured unless it comes to money.

Appearance: burly, as befitting the Iron element, Thak is Handsome by Skakdi standards, and even by some other standards. His body is Gunmetal and copper, as are his spines, which are curiously blade like in shape and toughness. Orange eyes and a trademark toothy grin complete the rogue.

Snese Approved.

Zangah v2 Approved.

You guys -just- approved a mod to Zangah that makes explicit references to and is based off the facilities limiters being removed.

...but close to it

Zangah broke his own limits from before he got to Bionifight, from what the profile suggests...

And the Psionic Shielding only seems to be from that, because it lined up; doesn't mean it really did, since it's more mental shielding and all.

And... Honestly, the only problem I have with M!Langmuir is the fact that where's he getting the elemental energy for Unlimited Blade Works? Like, limiters or not, that seems a tad beyond a Fe-Toa...

Name: Dio Folle

Species: AI similar to that of Mata Nui, encased in a Baterra.

Faction: Vapautti Sielu

Power/Weapon 1/2: Baterra ability of shapeshifting. Effects all weapons in contact with her only in size and shape: The weapon will still do what it was built to do. One of her favorite tricks is to manipulate her arm into a long blade like protrusion, or morph into someone else.

Power/Weapon 3: ability to enter one's mind, and manipulate their senses to see, hear, feel, smell, or taste something that is not truly there. (Example: She can make one hear a voice that is familiar to them while she is talking.) She must have complete focus, however, and generally, during a sword fight, she can not use this ability.

Appearance: Looks like a Baterra generally, though can shapeshift. Also, in her Baterra form, she has dark purple eyes, signaling that she is indeed different.

Bio: Dio Folle was, in her universe, the original programming for the MU. However, she was deemed too unstable and far too dangerous for the inhabitants in the MU. As a result, she was extracted and archived, until one day, she manipulated a worker to retrieve the chip she was stored on, and inserted into the Baterra. This worker was never seen again. She roamed, destroying villages in her wake, until teleported to join th cult. Thankfully, most of her great powers were gone when she joined the cult, so as to make her easier to control.

Personality/Other: Dio Folle is insane and incredibly dangerous. She does not generally play well with others, at least those that are equal to her, and will try to manipulate as many people as possible to serve her, using her mental powers, and intelligence. She was one of the most dangerous entities in her universe. The AI was programmed to be female, though there is no real concept of gender with her.

Changes made for approval: Shapeshifting takes up two slots, and bio should be correct.

Name: Nisaduf

Species: Fe-Matoran

Power/Weapon 1 & 2: The Illusion of Greatness: A nanobot-swarm that resides within the hollows of Nisaduf's armor and has the basic ability to fly, grab onto things, create illusions, and connect to one another to form into a dagger. Using this, Nisaduf can roughly replicate a majority of elemental powers that are either mere illusion or a combination of such and nanobot help. (Ex. To emulate a Pakari, they can help Nisaduf lift or hit stronger, though the effect is certainly lesser and can be noticed by an experienced fighter.) Along with this, it allows Nisaduf to make an illusion over herself to make her appear as another fighter. After Landfall, the Illusion has degraded somewhat, bring only able to create basic shapes such as cones, shields, or spheres. Sharp edges are nearly impossible to create anymore, although points are still very pointy.

Power/Weapon 3: A nondescript dagger about the size of Nisaduf's forearm. She was handed it one day after looking around for something to do, she has little idea of whether it originates from another deceased fighter or a Cultist that was shot down.

Appearance: When not cloaked in a nanobot illusion, Nisaduf seems to be a fairly average Matoran. The lime green eyes behind a powerless Kakama are tinged with madness, cold logic, and sometimes almost adoration, but she's smaller than a normal Matoran. Her armor is mainly a dull iron with burnt orange highlighting her lips, fingertips, and other place of note while grey skin makes it certain that she is indeed a Fe-Matoran. Having been a Nynrah Ghost, her armor isn't her original armor, but is improved and hollow in many places, allowing it not only to give under powerful blows but house her creation, The Illusion of Greatness.

Bio: Nisaduf hails from a universe very aware of the interdimensional broadcasting platforms. Well, at the least, Nynrah is. She never really paid attention to anything other than what was happening in the latest broadcast anyway. Sure, she enjoyed inventing, but Nisaduf's true passion was following the Bionifight, seeing the great Starburst perform at her latest venue, and the like. She was a fangirl, in the truest meaning of the term, and her idols unsurprisingly didn't even know she existed. Also unsurprising was when she first began to invent machines to give her the powers that her idols had, using them to make her feel like them. Like many Nynrah Ghosts before, after, and across the multiverse, she fell victim to the idea that she was the best. But why work hard to become one of the best when you can just take one of the best's spots?

The Illusion of Greatness was born, and the name of the weapon was completely and totally ironic, even to Nisaduf herself. But the beings on those broadcasts, they were her heroes; Nisaduf has always wanted to be likethem. And now she can, on the glorious Friday night beat-'em-up extravaganza primetime event itself, Bionifight. Maybe she'll even get to participate in the hidden camera spin-off 'Out of the Arena'!

With her experiences thus far in the Arena and with Landfall, Nisaduf has lost some of her energy. She has worked herself into a state of near-constant tears, and just wants to help out. Her dreams of becoming one of her heroes has been dropped for the time.

Personality/Other: At heart, even though she's rapidly become an insane fangirl who wants to literally become her heroes, Nisaduf's still a fangirl, and that's the outward appearance she emits. Though her eyes- and thoughts, considering the physics in the tournament- often reveal her true thoughts, her small stature actually helps in that few beings bother to get down on her level enough to truly recognize the slightly crazed look in her eyes for what it is. Her main topics of conversation are usually the heroes she idolizes, and when faced with a situation the reaction is usually to ponder 'What would [Hero] do?

Landfall has toned Nisaduf down, bringing her more into a depression. She's started to actually consider what would happen if she took down and replaced one of her heroes, and that has begun to cause inner conflict with herself.

Changes are underlined.

Name: Nisadeff (Preferes to be called 'Nisa', real name is Nisaduf. Changed her name upon induction into the Cult.)

Species: Heavily modified Fe-Matoran

Faction: Vapautti Sielu, Worshipper of Kuolema, Deity of Death

Power/Weapon 1: Great Mahiki, Mask of Illusions. "Allows its user to change their appearance to a limited degree or to cast optical illusions. The user can change the way others see them and imitate voices, but cannot copy any powers the original has."

-BS01

Power/Weapon 2: Dual Dueling Sickles. Why are they for dueling? Because Nisa said so. They're a half-moon of razor-sharp edges, at least on the inside. The outside is duller, but can still draw blood. Don't forget the point of it all, however, that's the sharpest part. Nisa has made comments about using them to hang on people and thus ride them. And slitting their throats. Great fun, really!

Power/Weapon 3: Fluid Death. Due to the various experiments conducted on her body, Nisadeff now excretes a silvery acid in place of blood or any other normal liquids, including sweat and saliva. It's powerful enough to burn through most armoring within a few minutes, and is devastating on any exposed skin. She can use it in many ways, though the most potent would be to kiss someone or directly allow a large open wound to bleed onto a person.

Appearance: Nisadeff is unsurprisingly very similar to her counterpart, with a petite stature even for a female Matoran, Kakama-shaped mask and burnt orange highlights complementing her grey skin. However, her Ghost-improved armor is more silvery and flowing, as if to emulate the liquid she now creates. Her mask is not powerless, being a Mahiki, though the most drastic difference is her shining, silver eyes. No hint of lime exists in these, just a silver sheen. If one was to look very closely, they could notice the faint silver lines of her blood vessels tracing her body.

Bio: For a majority of her lifespan, Nisadeff was Nisaduf. It was all alike, really. She watched and obsessed over Bionifight and those broadcasts, her idols forming just like they had before. It was mostly the same, up until the idea of the Illusion of Greatness. In this universe, she went to the community of Nynrah Ghosts for help, asking to be able to use a Great Mask. They agreed to alter her to do that, as long as they could try a few things on the side. All in the name of science, of course.

So she got acid blood out of the deal too. Nisadeff wasn't too annoyed, or even angry. No, she was happy, of course! Why else would she kiss every single scientist in the facility? Kissing is a happy thing!

And one day the Cult came to find her all alone, smiling, surrounded by her fellow Ghosts who for some strange reason had burnt off their lips. And teeth. Actually, it just looked like they tried to wear acid lipstick. How silly of them!

Nisadeff was promptly inducted into the Cult, and it only took a little convincing for her to accept a new truth. Becoming her heroes was silly! Oh no, Nisadeff would become a new type of hero, that which would save her heroes by the teachings and blessings of Koulema! She could not allow them to face a terrible fate, she would have to save them from themselves and from this poor world around them.

Personality/Other: Nisadeff is female, happy, bubbly, totally devoted to her deity Koulema, and totally not psychotic at all! Oh no, all she wants to do is save her heroes. Becoming them is so pre-Koulema, after all. Koulema is love. Koulema is life. And death. Mainly death. Yay!

They start off in the prison, yes - imagine it like the Bionifight facility of old, minus the training, commercial, or knowledge sector.

And replace the bedrooms with cells. There's an open meeting area, of course, so prisoners can talk with each other there.

Also, note: Prisoners do not have weapons on them in the prison. They do have their powers, and they are not sealed off, but they don't have weapons. Their weapons are given to them when in the Sota Games, and when they "win" the Sota Games.

Does Scriva's pen actually count as a weapon? Since she's originally based on a character from Asylum (RIP), I deliberately gave her something that could be feasibly smuggled into a prison.

That, and she kind of needs it to use her powers.

I've decided to scrap Achilex and try this guy instead.

Name: Velix

Species: Ve-Toa. Toa of Speed

Power/Weapon 1: Element of Speed. ALlows him to add or drain speed from objects, but not change direction.

Power/Weapon 2: Speed Skates. An oft-used law enforcement tool in his home-universe, these skates channel Velix's Speed powers to allow him to 'skate' about six inches off the ground at extremely high speeds. However, they do not turn or stop well.

Power/Weapon 3: He carries modified disk launcher that launches specially serrated disks with spinning. Velix uses his power to turn these disk into spinning buzzsaws of death by greatly amplifying their rotation. He usually carries three of the special disks.

Appearance: He is relatively small for a Toa, and is colored sand brown and white. His disk launcher is magnetically clipped to his back, along with the disks. AS is the custom with Ve-Toa, his mask is in the shape of a mask that carries some connotation of SPeed, in this case a Kakama.

Bio: Velix was once a police officer of an utopian futuristic world, but one day ended up in Bionifight. He has been through several tournements, and considers it a good things to show newbies(As he calls them) the ropes.

Personality/Other: He speaks in a breezy tone, with a bit of Runtalk, a shorthand used by Ve-Matoran and Toa, opting for efficiency.

Name: Lefia

Species:Ce-Toa

Power/Weapon 1: Psi-Blade: Similar to the Mindarm dicipline of the Dasaka, Lefia can generate a telekinetic weapon of various sizes, shapes, etc, making it semi-visible via a psionic illusion. She can make two at a time, at most. She can only make weapons she can imagine or has seen before, and cannot make projectile weapons or weapons with many moving parts.

Power/Weapon 2: Charisma: By lacing her words with subtle Psionics, Lefia can convince just about anyone of anything. Strong-willed beings can resist this, but due to the way the powers piggyback on the words, mental defenses are ineffective.

Power/Weapon 3: Psionic Occlusion: Using her powers, Lefia can prevent people from noticing her. Instead of true invisibility, she only becomes extremely obscure and hard to notice. When dueling with someone, the power can only make it much harder for the other fighter to see and respond quickly.

Appearance: Lefia is wiry and thin, with mostly gold armor. She is acrobatic and athletic.

Bio: Before Biofight, Lefia lived in a mostly utopian world, where all species lived together in harmony. There was still crime, of course, though. Lefia was an accomplished pickpocket, who used her Psionics abilities in certain ways so often that her secondary powers atrophied, leaving her with the three listed.

Personality/Other: Lefia is an excellent pickpocket, accomplished thief, and extremely good at talking her way out of things, assisted by her Charisma. She is very full of herself though.

Changes for Lefia and Velix. If approved, Velix's changes will take effect after the War Games. Lefia's will take effect immediately.

I kinda need these changes looked at before too long.

These got buried a long time ago. Would it be possible to somehow retcon them in, or have Velix find the skates in a forgotten package or something? I really want to use the changes, but don't see how to do that what with Landfall

What is this, Dresden Files?

I'm sure I don't know what you mean. All I want is my hero, who wields otherworldly powers and wears a longcoat, to ride a zombie T-Rex around as his personal steed. Completely different. I don't even have a guy wearing a home-made polka suit backing him up or anything

Argh undead T-Rex is my OC.

I should totally make a cultist that controls an undead T-Rex army, working for the Herald of Death. How to do this without making it overpowered...

What, hoi turtles aren't sentient? Behold my fixes:

Species: Hoi Turtle

The cultists killed off most of the other ordinary Hoi Turtles and ate them, but they kept Samantha alive because she was intelligent and could talk, due to a rare mutation in her anatomy. She isn't likely to use this ability very often, however.

Personality/Other: Sam is actually somewhat shy, much preferring to hang out in her shell rather than seek combat. Or torture.

Casanuva profile!

Name: Casanuva Kalta

Species: Toa of Magnetism

Faction: Prisoner, intially by Masenna, but turned over to Hevias

Power/Weapon 1: Elemental Magnetism. Even for a Fa-Toa, Casanuva is talented, being adept at manipulating magnetic fields to repel and attract, but is also skilled with magnetic sensory details, such as magnetoception (perception of the planet's magnetic field), and can use his powers to sense magnetic material, such as the protodermis in biomechanical organisms.

Power/Weapon 2: Kanohi Pakari. Though battered, it is still fully functional, and Casanuva is skilled in its use.

Power/Weapon 3: Ferrite. A toa tool designed by Casanuva himself, Ferrite is hand-and-a-half sword. The guard possesses springblades in it, which can be triggered to form the guard into a 'E' shape useful for trapping weapons. The main feature is the permanent magnet cased in the protosteel blade; Casanuva can use it to greatly enhance his powers. Additionally, the presence of the magnetic field allows Casanuva to adroitly use it to attack at range, with little lost from using it in melee.

Appearance: [Art, obviously pre-prisoner] Casanuva is a well-built Fa-Toa. Color-wise, he has blue-on-gunmetal armor, including a blue Pakari. The mask itself is notably battered from his time on Saarella Kirottu; it has a large chip taken out of the right upper edge, and a permanent scarring scrape has disfigured the left cheek. Casanuva just seems weary, now, as opposed to his former charming self.

Bio: Casanuva was a member of the Toa Kalta, a toa team chosen from talented individuals. Their memories were altered and suppressed, and their first mission was a deployment to Mata Nui to retrieve a plague-curing artifact. Casanuva fell in love with a visiting emissary, sparking a conflicting interest: his team, or a life of his own. Unfortunately, he never had the privilege of choosing either, because the Vapautti Sielu attacked. The rest of the Toa Kalta fought hard, but fell along with the island's other defenders. Seeing his love and unborn child be shredded to pieces before him, Casanuva flew into a desperate rage; unfortunately, he was not allowed to join them in death. His plight amused Masenna, who ordered he survive and be transferred back to Hevias for the Sota Games.

Personality/Other: Casanuva is male, and is heavily traumatized by his experiences. His memories are shallow; he has only the relatively short amount of time spent on Mata Nui and his stay on Saarella Kirottu as the memories he can fully trust, with everything beyond that either training or potentially implanted falsehoods. While he was once a snarky charmer, now he is bitter and cynical. He holds onto his sanity, however, and his morality; clinging to it as a liferaft to stay sane in a time of insanity.

The times, they are a-changing...

I asked this over in the Skype chat earlier on, but it got buried under a riveting discussion about killing the Host.

GM IC: She looked out across the sea for a long minute, gazing across the waters as she thought. Eventually, Masenna spoke once more to her follower, saying only, "Gather any others among our number who may be negotiators. Even those among the faithful of the other gods. then return to me, Anguish."

What exactly is Anguish meant to be doing? Just gathering up whatever cultist/prisoner PCs/NPCs he can find or something?

For some reason, I've been under the impression that each Herald and their respective servants keeps solely to their part of the island, so I also want to verify beforehand that encroaching on another Herald's territory won't be seen as a punishable transgression or anything nasty like that?

Third of I.F. for approval...

Name: Ignika Fallen (I.F.)

Species: Kanohi Mask (with Toa body)

Faction: Vapautti Sielu (under Kuolema)

Power/Weapon 1: Touch of Life: I.F. is capable of imbuing inorganic objects with life through touch (similar to the Cursed Great Being), granting them the gifts of breath, movement, and thought. While it can usually order these objects around, it does not possess direct control over them; as such, more willful objects might pose a problem. Like the Cursed Great Being, I.F. can hear the thoughts of the objects it has enlivened. The more objects I.F. brings to life, the weaker it becomes.

Power/Weapon 2: Touch of Death. In contrast to its first power, I.F. can drain the Life Energy from any living thing it touches (as well as any objects it has enlivened through Touch of Life). This life drainage works at a similar rate as a Level 6 Hunger Rahkshi's power.

Power/Weapon 3: Skyboard

Appearance: Basically a blue, black, and silver version of Toa Ignika (with a slightly different armor pattern). It usually wears a hooded robe to cover its own appearance. The mask on its face is usually a solid black color but will glow golden when it is using its powers. If one looks closely, they might notice a poorly fixed crack running down the left side of the Ignika.

Bio: I.F. was the Kanohi Ignika of a timeline where it was forced to wipe out all life in the Matoran Universe. (Though that guilt eventually caught up with it though; see Personality/Other). Attaching itself to the House of Death (curiously enough), it serves Kuolema with zeal and valor.

It seeks to alleviate this guilt by killing as many people as possible without draining their essences, so that they may be truly freed. I.F. is also very melodramatic, being easily brought to tears and... Dramatic shouting (probably due to still being a child - or an adolescent at most - mentally).

At some point in the past (I.F. doesn't remember when), the Ignika was badly damaged. While the Cult was able to repair the damage, the mask ended up losing a good deal of its powers (can't restore Mata Nui, won't start the countdown, won't randomly curse people, can't instantly regenerate its own body, etc).

Where on teh Spine are Virse and the Puppetmaster? Are they far in or closer to teh facility? I want to know if Velix might concievably encounter them.

Likewise, would Lefia be able to hear what's going on with Dayeth and the Matoran?

Virse is relatively deep in, and Puppetmaster is off somewhere else. But Virse is starting to make her way back to the Facility, so you could theoretically run into her near the opening of the Spine, assuming Click said that was okay.

profiles i guess

Dayeth is the only one that will be effected by this "breath". Someone else might notice the Matoran, but what Dayeth is experiencing is just for her.

For now.

Virse is currently on her way out, but she would be near to the Muaka's Den, deep into the Spine. She's currently in her sand form, so it's doubtful Velix would notice her until she shifts near the facility.

Velix would probably notice moving sand, considering mountains don't have much sand.

She's not just sliding down the path in plain view. She's wary of Cultists and trying to remain unseen. Just let me get up a post, and you'll see what I mean.
