IC - Yuri and Praggos:

Praggos's eyes widened in surprise, and he backed further away. There was little he could do, at the moment, other than be ready to use his Avsa to aid Elly at a moment's notice. Yuri, meanwhile, continued to huddle in his shell - thankfully out of Possessed!Noroi's way to the exit - and tried to convince himself that what he heard happening wasn't happening.

He didn't want to have to fight a friend, even if said friend was currently possessed by an evil demon from the abyss between universes.

IC: Draco

"I doubt they are gods. Simply another set of powerful beings who have managed to gather a large following. How, I don't know, whether by teleporting and torturing, or giving them opportunities. Whatever the case, I want to destroy them, and rip apart them-limb by limb. The only true rulers there should be are the Makuta- not some arrogant, overrated beings." Draco said, cracking his knuckles.

IC: Virse - Engineering Sector

"I believe I know the path, sir," Virse replied. "I saw few roads through the Spine, and I did what I could to remember my route upon my return. My escort seemed to indicate a building, though I saw no entrances. Guards apparently have some method of entering."

The swords flew, the Fe-Toa's warning shots, but they never passed their target. The abomination's hands closed around their hilts in mid-flight, the oversized claymores screaming to a stop as the giant brought them to its sides. IC Parasite:

Upon one of the many, many beds, something stirred.

A low gurgle came from beneath the pale white sheet, a sound almost a retching gastrointestinal passing than anything formed by what could pass as normal lips.

-awake. smell. there is.... prey-

The sheet rose, draped over the now sitting figure as it's feet connected with the floor with a wet slap and the clicking of bone on stone.

Another gurgle, a growl added in.

It had been disturbed.

It was hungry.

The sheet fell away, revealing a horror of flesh and tendrils and bone. Tumours erupted from every limb, and both arms ended in wicked bone like claws. The right arm, had a whiplike tendril, a sickly twisted thing of flesh and bone.

It was Parasite.

It was awake.

The gurgling became a howl.

It was angry.

It was time to FEED.

There were others in the containment centre.

They would become naught but fuel and more of it.

Comrades. One of metal and viruses. The other of metal and wires.

The enemy. Toa.... The word was displeasing. Toa did not provide nutrients. No biomass.

It would destroy the Toa.

IC: The Toa shrugged.

"I've never been much a polearm fighter and I recall that you used to use something of the sort. Could probably make more use of it than I can."

"I serve the weak. I serve the helpless. I am their sword and their shield. If you want to strike at them, you must go through me, and I am not so easily moved."

"What happened to you," Leli continued, tone not so much demanding as it was curious in a rather child-like way.  She skipped a step back as the woman rose to standing, head tilted to the side as she spoke.  Of course, her reasons were not entirely based on concern for the being who quite frankly looked... defeated, but also for herself.  Knowing what their captors did in terms of torture would go along way for her.

IC: "I survived," Zeraxa said, blinking slowly as she brought her arms up and around herself, rubbing her biceps to try and bring some warmth to them. She was so cold so cold, regardless of the presence of all these bodies in the room, filled with pumping, flowing blood and meat...

The fe-toa broke free from her reverie, eye darting between the assembled forms before she managed to drawl, "Both here and before, I survived."

IC: Langmuir [M]

Oh ####.

IC: Langmuir [F]

As the others had advanced, she had backed away. Unsheathing Persephone and preparing to use her magic if necessary. She noted that Praggos had backed away as well, she grew closer to him. The empty looking Ko-Toa wasn't her first choice for a companion in a dangerous situation like this, nor her second, third, fourth or so on... But he'd have to do.

"You ever seen anything like this?"

IC: No Name

Dropped in hostile territory for the umpteenth time, given next to no information for the umpteenth and a half time and both literally and metaphorically left to rot for the god knows how manyth time... Was it clear yet why he hated his job? He opened his eyes, dispelling his introspection and the images associated with it as he rose to his feet. Tucking his hands into his pockets, he left his cell and began to walk the facility. Perhaps, this stroll would reveal more than the last dozen...

IC: Xara - Muaka's Den.

Although it was hard to discern the passage of time in this prison, it felt like morning. I woke up in the same dismal cell I'd first found myself in two days ago, and went through my usual routine.

"Day three in captivity," I got up, stretching my weary limbs, "Nothing new to report." Sighing, I headed into the main chamber, wondering what my fellow inmates were up to.

IC(Ismekne): Ismekne lay on the floor, concentrating on her Nova Blast. Unmoving. Since she didn't feel like moving.

IC(Samantha): Samantha listened to Scriva's conversation with Vinra.

IC(Kalatin): Kalatin watched the situation with Noroi. He wondered if he should try contacting A.D. again, but distracting him in the middle of his scouting probably wasn't a good idea.

IC: Dartakh (Knowledge Sector | With Ravyn)

"Hah, lucky son of a Brakas. I spent my early life with the gangs of Tachir. Life on the streets made me tough and self-reliant. Still remember my first kill, that guardsman screamed like an animal when I twisted the knife in his stomach, hahah.." He actually smiled, but it was a twisted smile. He was more sociable and euphoric. It wasn't clear if Ravyn's bottle of liquor was the only one he emptied, but he was clearly drunk.

"Oh, by the way, have you seen Ironarm anywhere? Did she die in the crash or something?"

IC: Naona (MC) ~ Medbay

"Midnight City Police Department," he explained, voice betraying how he felt somewhat homesick. "Not exactly an optimal work environment, but ..."

It was home. It was the only home he had ever known. The department that had accepted him, amnesia and all.

That was why he sought to reform its corruption.

That was why he sought to make everything better.

"... it is home."

GM IC: DREISEN - ENGINEERING

There was a click (why a click? Dreisen would idly wonder, but that is besides the point) as the computer repairs finished and the screen flashed to life.

"Looks like we're good to go," Dreisen said, turning to Vagust. "You can do your search now."

GM IC: CITY OF FEAR - A.D.

As A.D. climbed through the hole, he would find himself in another pitch black room. However, his fire did not seem capable of lighting this one up.

GM IC: CITY OF FEAR - DAYETH

GM IC: CITY OF FEAR - DAJIK / SKRALL

Neither would experience anything new quite yet.

GM IC: THE HOST - CONTROL ROOM

Once Maccha Yellow had fixed the door, the Host began to speak.

"When we first began our research on the Infinite Gems, we had difficulty translating the texts," he said. "They were old - far older than either the Queen or myself, and... well, that is saying something! Nonetheless, we were able to eventually get a very rough translation down, and it was that which led us to our first set of hypothesis. They seemed to refer to an endless number of possible powers; this led us to call them 'Infinity Gems'. Later, we found that we were not far from the truth; further translations called them 'Infinite Gems', and so that is what they are called."

The Host paused and took a deep breath before continuing.

"As our research developed and we gathered more of the gems, we began to come across... warnings, of a sort. I hesitate to call them anything else simply because they were so few and vague in number that it is difficult to define them at all. But they referred to eight gems that were... more powerful than the rest. Legendary in their strength and destructive capabilities. We had agreed not to actively hunt them down until we were certain that we were strong enough to do so - but... the Queen was obsessed with finding the Psionics gem and increasing her powers."

He frowned, turning to Von Worten.

"You said you found... a Gem of the Mind?" he asked.

IC: Von Worten

"Yes," I said, wiping at a tear that had settled on the corner of my mouth. "The Queen believed it to be one of those eight gems, a possibility I think likely. It was... odd to see one so powerful so afraid." I drummed my fingers on my book. "To be honest, I find it difficult to understand how such a gem could be used unless the gem itself allowed it, or, in this gem's case, if the Queen was able to dominate it."

I looked down at my book and my voice dropped nearly to a whisper. "I hope it was--is--the latter. I don't like the thought of her being subject to that gem's every whim."

Of course, that wasn't even considering the possibility that the Queen was dead. Truth was... I didn't want to consider that.

IC: Arkie (Training Sector)

"Gotcha." I press a button, the sphere whirring to life. The walls darken momentarily- the obligatory loading screen- and then the Wilted Forest appears, complete with mist. "Ready?" As a simulated cultist runs at me with purple fire clasped in their bone-white hands I form a box of steel around them, the metal givnig off my signature chill.

Then I crush the box with my elemental powers, the cultist trapped inside.

I reabsorb the metal and the bloody pancake drops onto the ground where it flickers and then disappears.

"I'd say that hurt a bit."

IC: Shriek (Bionifight Facility)

I chuckled. "Not too hard for that to be so."

Prey. Unmoving. Easy.

It stepped. Once, twice, three times. Faster.

A howl, once more.

The wet slapping and clicking and gurgling increased as it leapt, ran, and crashed through all in its path. It had a single prey.

The Ga-Toa.

-IC: Typhoeus-

"Makuta?" Typhoeus' face was comically blank with confusion. "What deity is that?"
IC: Constructman

"I cannot speak for this Rahkshi, but in my universe, Makuta were not deities, but merely mortals of a different manner." I pause and take a breath, then continue. "Beings of sordid spirit, occupying formidible ferronous forms, gifted with the powers of darkness. They were powerful, but they were not gods. Only mortals. For they fell at the hands of those despicable servants of Mata Nui."

IC: Ravyn (Revenant) - Knowledge Sector

"She's around, though I'm not entirely too sure of her whereabouts at the moment," he said, momentarily turning his attention to his surroundings. "And don't get the wrong idea about me, either; just because I was lucky enough to have someone around to show me the ropes, that doesn't mean it was a cakewalk the entire time. Most of it was survival training out in the wilderness, far away from the modern luxuries of the villages, and in various climates as well. Needless to say, I'm not the rich adventuring type who sits on their butt all day while throwing copious amounts of widgets around in order to make their problems disappear."

IC: Draco

"Despicable indeed... To us, they were rulers, kings, warlords. They had more power than any team of toa could possess, although a skilled team of toa most likely could take one down. Surely you have heard of them?" He asked Typhoeus. It should be impossible not to hear the name Makuta.

IC: Taurus

Taurus put his rhotuka launcher on his hand, then grunted to show he was ready. The forest full of cultists sprung alive, and a blue and black Vortixx appeared, charging him with some crazy sort of launcher. Heh. Bad move. The launcher fired a bolt of plasma as Taurus stepped to the side, then behind the Vortixx, putting his hands on the head and neck. He twisted it hard, and kicked the lifeless body away from him.

-IC: Typhoeus-

"...No. They sound like some subtle variation of a Properly Ordained Prophet or Certified Demigod. You are certain there is no divine quality?"

Typhoeus was growing more and more concerned; it seemed that he had found two especially insane contestants. Anyone who denied a deity as a source of any sort of power would likely be (in his dimensionally challenged mind) the sort of person who denied air as the source of their breathing.

"Karzahni? A god? I doubt it. I've met him before. I was born in that bloody wasteland! And yet, all he can do is arm matoran with weapons, control a bunch of overgrown crabs, and make illusions. And the Makuta can do that and much more! So no, I doubt he is a god." Draco said. Really now. Him, a god? The other two, he could understand, but not Karzahni.
